The post about Jackson having an all Sprint night on Friday the 17th caught my eye. I'm going to the USMTS show at Owatonna on the 16th and have that Friday off work. I am considering getting a room in Owatonna Thursday night and heading to Jackson on Friday. I would have to drive home after the races Friday as I can't afford to do a motel two nights in a row. We'll see if I can work something out.

I take pictures for Flat Out and write a column/take photos for Minnesota's Racing Connection so I'm always in the infield shooting photos whenever I attend a race. The Scott Bloomquist Late Model shot on the front cover of the current issue of MRC is one of my pictures from the Masters back in June.
I don't go anywhere without the camera. Matter of fact, it's not any fun for me to sit in the stands anymore. After being involved in the sport in this capacity it wouldn't be much fun going back to being a spectator. I'm kind of like the drivers and owners who once they retire they never go to the races because they can't enjoy it when they're not involved somehow.

Stan look me up Friday night if you go to Jackson. We will be in the infield, Blue Trailblazer in front of Rosy's Racelands trailer. It will be nice to meet you.

Brian said that the motels will be full in Owatonna because of the Fair so I'll have to drive home Thursday night and will see how the weather looks for Friday. My Ranger doesn't have cruise or AC so it's a hassle to drive 3 1/2 hours in 95 degree weather. If I make it to Jackson next week I'll drive home after the races and will probably go to Cedar Lake on Saturday.
