Just curious...why wasn't Terry penalized or sent to back for passing pace car Saturday night in A main? Anyone else see that happen?

Well since he was not penalized there must not have been any problem with him doing that.

Could you post that rule from the Knoxville rule book? I only find rules regarding cars but not race procedure on the Knoxville website.

Obviously, I got hacked by someone earlier. There's no penalty for what happened Saturday...
If this post isn't results, stories or something c
constructive, it isn't me!

Of course because it was Terry it was ok. Nothing is better to draw fans than to have the same guy win the track title 8 out of 9 years. Knoxville officials would like it better if he won every race every year. They love him so much that if he stops racing there they will close the track.
My God, does every little thing have to be a conspiracy?
He gassed it up & pulled ahead of the pace truck. His crew ran to the work area thinking he had a problem. But he stayed on the track. My guess is he may have thought he had a tire going down or some other problem and wanted to check it under power without having to worry about other cars around him. No big deal, no advantage gained. Folks should stop thinking Nascar rules apply everywhere!

I've seen multiple cars pass the pace car with no penalty...not just Terry McCarl. I see no reason to penalize unless there was a safety concern on the track.
I think Harry Hog actually told him to hit the pace car, not pass him, over the 1 way radio but Terry missed.
