Dave Watched little 5 practice and Xtreme sprint practice with a few drops of rain. Rolled the dice and headed to Terre Haute. All the way through Indy it just poured rain, and abit of hail also. Just knew that the same rain had been through Terre also. Kept calling race track and the recording kept saying were racing. Was dry when got there and the rain had just gone north of them. Actually the rain clouds stayed just northeast of the track for the whole event. 23 cars. Track was wicked fast. Most guys were pulling wheelies off the corners and leaving rooster tails during time trials. Good stuff. Fast time was a new track record. Darland won as I am sure you have seen by now. Track got dusty during feature, but wind was from behind us and blew it to the infield. Track sound system there is lousy. By the time they gave credit for all the fine sponsers in time trials, the cars were close to main straight, and could hear nothing. Felt sorry for the new folks who didn't know who was driving what. Today Little 500 pole day and Hoosier 100 SC race at Indy Fairgrounds tonight. roy

One thing I forgot to mention. Nolan's 6 cylinder cars are among the fastest in practice. Coons topping the chart and Elliot not far behind. Gene has run those motors on pavement for years and has been very successful
