Listened both nights on Dirtvision including last night while also watching Knoxville on the Cushion. Both WoO nights sounded lame. The Dash re-draw selected the winner both nights. Pittman came up aces two nights in a row on dash draw, and as a result wins a $27,000 lottery. Guys who were great the first night, sucked the second night and visa versa...to me indicating it was almost all about your qualifying spot, qualifying time, and where you started in your races.
Meanwhile in Knoxville, Brown sweeps, beating a loaded 360 class from 9th starting spot with a last lap pass, then beats an even stronger 410 class from 8th starting spot with a last lap pass. Jeffrey, Maeschen, McCarl, and Brown put on an awesome show. Meanwhile Jason Meyers, started 9th, finished 19th, Jason Johnson, started 20th, finished 20th were last two cars running at the checkered looked terrible. JJ looked bad last week also. Dollansky, who we are ready to reclaim as a regular also started 3rd and dropped like a rock to finish 9th.
Crazy when a guy like Dollansky can drop of the WoO tour and run lower in points standings at Knoxville than he did with WoO during previous decade or so.
I guess my question is...is it a WoO thing or a Knoxville/Grove track crew prep thing?
Everyone knows the Duncans are awesome and you almost never get a track at Knoxville that isn't at least two racing grooves. Was the Grove racing a result of track prep or just how it is on a relatively narrow track when everyone is fast?

Pittman also started 4th in the dash on night 1. Agreed he was lucky last night, but he was the dominant car on Friday.

The Posse vs. the Outlaws cheerleading on this site is moronic on both sides. But Dollansky running lower in points at Knoxville seems akin to Pittman running PA for four years, then immediately winning the Outlaw title as soon as he went back on tour,

Correct...Pittman graduated Posse U with a 2.8 GPA and aced his final exam at Hagerstown which landed him in the KKR car...
That degree allowed him to obtain a spot attop the WoO points for the year ending in thirteen...
If Dollansky ends up back on the tour, I would expect much of the same...
Opinions may vary...

Didn't Dollansky already win at Knoxville this year? Are we implying Knoxville weekly show field is tougher than the Outlaw tour? haha

The same thing happened to Pittman when he dropped off the tour and ran here the first year...
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH
