WoO mandated shit track prep in full effect at the Cow Palace...Wall scrapers need not apply...
Opinions may vary...

Was told track crew wasn't allowed to touch the track unless the outlaws gave them permission.

So you think there is something in the WoO contract with the tracks that they can stipulate the condition of the racing surface?
Seems like a stretch to me... why would a local track, especially one like WG ever agree to tilt the playing field to the Outlaws.
Now, if WRG rented the facility like they do in some cases I could beleive it.

OH they do. proof is in the pudding. The track sucked more than usual. They run 8 to 10 lap hot laps where on a normal Friday night they run 4 laps. Tracks is half used up by TT's.

There are a number of factors to consider when having a weekend like Williams Grove did the last two nights. First, the track crew was forced to seal over the speedway Thursday to deal with the rain — 2 inches — that was about to hit the area. Could they have dug it up after the rain was over, yes. But they didn't and, unfortunately, the track went away.
As for Saturday, it was better. But I agree, it wasn't great. Second day of a two-day show and the first day had bad conditions...You could expect the same. But this is not a World of Outlaws issue, because the group has had some spectacular races this year across the country.
It seems in this day and age, the cushion needs to go to the fence so guys can perform slide jobs. That is when the racing is the best. Port Royal was really good for the Bob Weikert race and there have been a few others that were decent. Chalk it up to a bad weekend.

To say the World of Outlaws made the track that way for their own benefit is ridiculous. What if multiple Posse members occupied the front row? They would have drove away. So what people are saying is that the group controlled the track conditions after time trials. Trust me, they are not that smart.
This was just a bad weekend that started because of the rain that was in the forecast. You could only do so much in a 14-hour turnaround. This is not a World of Outlaws issue.
They have put on some great races this year. So the conspiracy theory is that they got in a room before they came to Central PA and decided to screw up the racing, hurt their product and jeopardize future races in the area as far as attendance. Not buying it.
The Outlaws, as a group, just want good races. If a local wins, it helps the front gate the next time they come to the area.

Ya-I also heard that if Ferris Bueller died, he was going to donate his eyes to Stevie Wonder.
I love rumors from "reliable sources"--especially drunk ones from the stands or pits.

For the record, the track crew at Williams Grove grated and dug up the track over night, numerous times. They watered the crap out of it up until 5 p.m. Saturday.

From Pittman's standpoint, winning two races and $25,000 in 24 hours at Williams Grove Speedway.

Only 39 drivers have won a WoO race at the Grove, out of 187 races. I'd say a sweep of a WoO weekend has only been done by 10 drivers (at most), so it's a big deal when it's accomplished.

they just wrapped up another nail biter at middletown...
dash results: pittman, saldana, kinser, darrah, sweet, madsen, paulie m.
feature results....refer to above less madsen who dropped out with a blown tire and add wolfe, DD and gravel for your top ten.
sounds like the grove isnt the only place that was told to do a shitty job with the track prep.
40 min to middletown from here......i stayed home took a nap.....sounds like folks at the track may have as well.

Did either of the Grove races have a lead change? Pttman is hooked up right now. Why, the Outlaws are almost like being an engine on a train track and having to keep the rest of cars behind him.

Track was really locked down Saturday night too. Pittman did what he had to do to win the race and good on him. Even he had problems with backmarkers and such. It was a really tough track to pass on. IMO both Kreitz and Wolfe had cars that were alittle better than Pittman. They both just used their stuff up trying to get past him and racing each other. No sour grapes here, it was what it was and you gotta deal with it.
On a side note. I don't know what was in the air in central Pa this weekend but alot of folks tore stuff. Glad to see Hodnett and Kinser were ok. Both took super hard licks. And praying for Duane Mausteller and Jamie Collard and a quick and total recovery.
