John Kuntz or maybe you might know him thru Andy's Frozen Custard was a big promoter of racing and Terry Phillips in particular. He was one of the first sponsors of Springfield Raceway and racing in general around the Midwest. There are lots of special feelings for John Kuntz in and around the Springfield area as could be seen Saturday night by fans and racers a like at the track.
Also a special feature for this race is free custard for everyone in attendance, I had two oreo and vanilla cups myself, it was good.
