I have been waiting a long time to see what this kid could do in a first class ride. It looks like
we have another very exciting driver to watch. Best of luck to Gravel and the entire Roth team.

Great job and record to David and the 83 team! Looks like a good decision by Dennis Roth at this point.
What gonna be real fun to watch is when we get to August and the big money races

I am very happy for the Roth family!!!!
(and yes, sprint to win, he won from the front row!)
I LEARNED ESP FROM MY MOM
"PUT YOUR SWEATER ON: DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW WHEN
YOU'RE COLD?"

Its astounding that a guy from my old stomping grounds of Watertown, Ct., with ZERO sprint car or even dirt track racing, is tied for the lead with 3 WoO wins.....
Kick ass, Dave!

Amazing the success a team can have when the driver is not more focused on...um...."health issues" than racing.

Not sure what you are refrencing to. That he can't run well at Knoxville? From what I can remember he has always made the Nationals and last year had a pretty solid run and winning the Preliminary night!

'What gonna be real fun to watch is when we get to August and the big money races'
I took it pretty literally -- or in slightly different words -- 'It is going to be interesting to see how well David Gravel can do at the Iron Man 55 and Nationals in his new ride'. You don't win a Nationals prelim if you don't run well at Knoxville. You also don't win 3 WoO races if you suck. I don't think anybody thinks David Gravel sucks.
Reading between the lines may be harmful and detrimental to your health!

It's been a very disappointing year for us Gravel fans, first being let go of Roth when it was clearly a car issue . seems to be worked out now! And not a driver issue!!!!!!!!!
thankful he had gotten a ride within a couple of minutes, BUT BOY OH BOY what a waste of true talent to go to such a dysfunctional team.. When will Rick and Barb Rogers SEE THE LIGHT! They are spending good $$$$$money where it's not going to matter.. Get a new Crew chief someone who can set a car that can get around a track & change that Dam Maxim..David has gotten this car into some pretty great qualifying positions and during the heat races and mains the set up have been detrimental to say the least.. KNOXVILLE great example Started I believe front row in the 4 wide, another running out of gas, change the tank,!!!, putting on wrong tires numerous times..
i sure hope that in November David gets a call from a new team. or mr. Roger makes a few good calls and changes and not with a fellow business Partner Let's get this young man a solid ride and for more than a half season! Cant imagine from what David Made last year in $ to what he has Made this year?? Rick keep spending iit and putting it down your portable potty!
or Mr. Rogers to get a great day in the NEIGHBORHOOD get out and Make the right changes and get a guy who knows what to do to get a car around a track..

If you are indeed a Gravel fan, please support his efforts positively rather than directing negative comments toward his owners and crew. There are many more helmets available than there are steering wheels. Its a fact of life.

Good heavens dude, just be glad your favorite driver has a ride....and be glad there are car owners that are willing to put big time dollars into their teams to race for our entertainment. Why would a true wish for a traveling team like the Destiny car to go away? And JanetH, I've never heard it summed-up better than you did - "there are more helmets than steering wheels".
