Cracks me up how people complaine about the cost of touring with the WoO.  It is the top series.  It is not supposed to be for the casual weekend racer.  If there is any flaw, it is the lack of increase in payout.

WoO still has the largest group of travelers.  These drivers are competitive racers.  This is not just about "having fun".  Fun for these guys is going up against the best and winning.  That is their fun!!

And by the way, for all of you regional fans who love to bash the WoO drivers, the touring drivers typically beat the locals.  Numbers dont lie.  Give them some respect.  The great thing is that there are parts of this country where the locals can beat the touring guys and that is really fun to watch, I know I love the drama when the WoO pulls into the Grove.  Great racing that only gets better when the touring guys show up.

The great thing about this sport is that if you are on a budget or are out just "to have fun", there are plenty of options for you.  305's, Micro & Mini Sprints.  Have fun!

The other great thing about this sport is that the traveling teams come to your track.  If you have the equipment, you get to race against the best there is.  No one is saying that you have to go on tour.  This really is an amazing thing that we sometimes overlook.  Can you imagin showing up at Monza and asking if you can try and qualify for the F1 grid.  Never happen.

Our sport provides the best drivers with a traveling venue and allows the rest of us to participate as we can afford it.

Sounds pretty good to me.

You are absolutely spot on with all of your points, and way too level headed to fit in here. Now if you could go over and talk some sense into the raving lunatics on Indiana Open Wheel....

It  was  not meant to be complaining  about the touring  costs with WoO  , yes it  is supposedly  the top touring series  but  the WoO is  all  about  money  especially  for   WRG  not  the drivers or them caring about you as  a fan  . If they cared as much as  they  say  they do , there  racing  would be even better . Yes , it is not meant with weekend racers but it has drove  alot  of  good owners  and  drivers   from the business   that  was more  fun  , not  to go out and race  purely for money.  To go out  and race and put on  a  good show ,not  a  single  file   follow  the leader  type of race or  winning from the first  three  rows .While I  appreciate  all  the drivers abilities  , I can't   say it is the best racing   for a  fans money . But as  long as  people keep packing  the tracks   the  WoO  WILL NEVER  TWEAK THERE   SO -CALLED RULES  to make  the product   better   for you . I'd  really like to see  less   rules , but i would  say the  best  racing  today  is  USAC  and  any LATE MODEL RACING .This my opinion  , you sir sound like   a   diehard  WoO   FAN ? , but believe  me this  is not good  racing and believe  me WoO   RACING  COULD BE  ALOT BETTER  .

That some guy named Cap made the feature at Knoxville last season, so not a half bad driver - and Im sure it was just a two weekend gig and he wasnt shown "the door" this is what the 82 was going to do all season from what I understood.  They tried to fill the ride with a local driver last season by the name of Scott Winters.  Winters faired pretty well for it really being his first go at traveling, but he came to the conclusion that he didn't want to committ to racing full-time and give up his regular job.

Ultimately the job security in the 82 wasn't exactly existing after Henderson and Wolfe.

This season, like they did after Winters backed down they have just hit and missed.  I think Roger Crockett might have had a verbal committment from them that got pulled away, that's just my intuition, I have no actualy proof of that.

This season they have had Hafertefe, Clauson, Swindell, Henry all in a car and I'm probably missing at least one.

I think they are essenttially audtioning the ride out with Kevin probably being the front-runner. IMO i think Clauson is audtioning himself for a certain winged sprint car that might need a driver next season.

I think your right , they  are  doing  alot  of auditioning , who will be next  , all good drivers   but  i'm  partial to Kevin Swindell  who has much potential  no matter what he drives  , he is another   Kyle  Larson given  a  chance
