Been watching a lot of sprint car races from the 80's & the winning drivers
always kissed the trophy girls, when did this end?

Tmac still kisses everyone, just ask anyone thats around him in victory lane, flag man, trophy girl, male/female, don't matter, better be prepared!!

This is not an opinion but a FACT.......
When the Hiv/Aids virus became a public concern in the early 80's, then you saw the act of 'kissing' in trophy presentations come to a screeching halt. Sure some places still had the practice continue but as a whole, the practice halted.

yep, that is 100% FACT! I remember reading in an old Open Wheel magazine that during the 80's all race tracks were to quit letting drivers kiss the trophy girl or they were going to end up getting AIDS!!!!! Come on man!?
