HoservilleCA continues support of “Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial” Heat Races at Silver Dollar Speedway on Saturday May 3

By Gary Thomas

Chico, CA – April 24, 2014...We’re happy to announce that the fan group known as HoservilleCA will once again be partnering with the heat races at the 24th annual “Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial” next Saturday May 3. This is the 12th consecutive season that HoservilleCAwill be a part of the heat races during the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series sanctioned event at Chico’s Silver Dollar Speedway.

Each 10-lap heat race winner on Saturday May 3 will receive a free Hoosier Right Rear Tire plus Five Sleeves of Tear Offs. HoservilleCA has been involved with the heat races at the “Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial” since 2003 and it has grown to be a major part of the event each year.

Red Line Oil is also donating a Red Line Sprint Car oil change of Motor Oil, Gear Oil and WaterWetter to each heat race winner. In addition to that the company will be donating numerous Red Line Oil hats to be given away to kids during the night.

The “Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial” pays tribute to fallen race car driver Dave Bradway Jr., who lost his life in a Sprint Car crash at Skagit Speedway's Dirt Cup in 1987. Bradway Jr. was a driver destined for stardom in Sprint Car racing and the event held in his memory has become a cornerstone for the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series each season.

We currently have $200 thus far on the line for the Carwash Mike Fast Time Award, courtesy of John Luther aka 50th Stater. Last year’s award paid $1140 to the fast time qualifier at the event. The winner of the award on Saturday May 3 will also take home a custom one of a kind Jagermeister Trophy & a Coors Light Cowboy Hat, in honor of super fan Carwash Mike Avilla, who passed away a few years ago.

If anyone would like to add to the fast time award, purchase a lap or add anything to the night, please contact Dave and Dianne Durica at [email protected] or 916-988-5958. The Carwash Mike Fast Time Award has been captured the last two years by Rico Abreu & Tim Kaeding respectively.

Last season’s edition of the event saw history be made when Rutherford’s Rico Abreu became the youngest winner ever of the “Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial” and also took home the most money in the history of the show, pocketing over $8500. The 22-year-old will be in action once again at the event next weekend and looks to continue his red hot start to the season, which has seen him win eight main events already.

The Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial also features a 40-lap main event to conclude the night. Information and updates on the event will be found in the coming week at www.kwssprints.com & www.silverdollarspeedway.com and also stay glued to both the KWS and Silver Dollar Speedway Facebook pages.

Big thanks to Red Line Oil for their support of the “Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial” once again this season! Red Line Oil is donating a Red Line Sprint Car oil change of Motor Oil, Gear Oil and WaterWetter to each heat race winner! Red Line Oil will also be partnering with the pre-race autograph session/ meet & greet that will feature Dominic & Gary Scelzi, Kyle & Rick Hirst and Bud Kaeding! The session will take place from 5pm to 5:45pm on Saturday May 3 at Silver Dollar Speedway!

Dominic Scelzi is the reigning King of the West 410 Series Rookie of the Year, while his dad Gary is a four-time NHRA World Champion. Kyle Hirst is the defending King of the West Series champion, while his father Rick was the 1986 Northern Auto Racing Club titlist. Bud Kaeding is a three-time USAC National Silver Crown champion and is in his first season driving the famed Williams Motorsports No. 0 Sprint Car on the King of the West Series circuit.

Since 1979, Red Line Synthetic Oil Corporation has grown to manufacture more than 100 quality products, including motor oils, gear oils, assembly lubes, fuel additives, and its popular WaterWetter cooling additive for the automotive, motorcycle, marine, and industrial markets. Based in Benicia, California, Red Line has a reputation with racers and enthusiasts alike for creating products that perform and protect better than any on the market, regardless of price.

Red Line formulates fully-synthetic oils and chemically-advanced additives using the world's finest base stocks. Rather than cutting costs by blending in petroleum products, Red Line's motor oils and gear oils use superior ester base stocks that provide extreme stability at high temperatures and superior film strength at lower viscosities where more power can be produced. More information on the company can be found at www.redlineoil.com

The front gate will open at 5pm on Saturday May 3, with adult tickets costing $20, juniors 12-15 will be $15 and kids 6-11 are $5. All seating is general admission during the night. The Silver Dollar Speedway is located on the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds, a half-mile west of SR 99 on Park Ave in Chico, California.
