Former car owner John Elias passed away on Saturday 4/5. Family said it was a heart attack. John owned the J Elias Redi Mix sprint car in the later 70's/early 80's. Buster Venard, Rip Williams and others drove for him back then. That was my introduction to sprint cars as John was the father-in-law of my next door neighbor. They were beautiful cars.

The John Elias Sprint Cars were ones you knew you would have to deal with whenever they hit the dirt ! He will be missed R.I.P. John
