$1,000/win Champ Sprints & Modifieds weekly at Red River Speedway

Wichita Falls, TX (4/2/14) by DarinShort.com. As the Red River Speedway (RRS) nears the end of its massive transformation, track officials are pleased to announce the complete purse structure in all racing divisions for the racing season. Additionally, a new revised schedule has been posted.

First off, building and lighting contractors have been thrown off schedule by the wind and the weather conditions. Construction crews have promised Red River Speedway officials a new completion date to those projects, thus, the first practice night has been moved to Friday, April 25th; with the Grand Reopening Season Opener to take place on Friday May 2nd.

The April 25th Open Practice (open to any car in any racing division) will have pit gates and driver registration open at 5pm, with practice from 7pm to 11pm.  Pit passes for all ages will be $15. Grandstands will be free admission with no outside food or drink allowed in.

A new 2014 schedule is available for viewing and printing at the track website www.RRSpeedway.com under the ‘schedule’ tab.

Red River Speedway is excited to offer race teams one of the strongest purse structures in the region.

The Championship Sprint Cars and USRA Modifieds will each be competing for $1,000 to win and $100 to start on their point’s nights. Limited Modifieds will be racing for a solid $500 to win and $50 to start.

The full nightly feature race payback for USRA Modifieds and Champ Sprints is: $1,000-500-400-300-250-200-180-160-140-120-100…to start. The Limited Modified feature breakdown is: $500-300-200-160-140-120-100-80-60-50…to start.

The rotating divisions of Factory Stocks, Pro Stocks, Mini-Stocks and Mod 4’s will each be racing for $300 to win and $40 to start; which includes very good payback throughout the field: $300-200-160-140-120-100-80-60-40…to start.

Complete details are available for viewing at the track website link above, by clicking the Driver Info/Rules tab.

In addition, non-qualifier money will be paid in all race divisions: $50 for USRA Modifieds and Champ Sprints, $30 for Limited Modifieds and $20 for Factory Stocks, Pro Stocks, Mini-Stocks and Mod 4’s. All drivers are guaranteed nightly payback regardless of their results on track.

Since the last update, the TOMS and TOWR series have confirmed dates on the 2014 RRS schedule.

The TOWR (Texas Open Wheel Racing) Series Non-Winged 600’s will be racing on Friday, July 4th along with the Restricted Winged 600’s. An event flyer containing details and purse breakdown will be published by the end of the month. It is going to be a big race with a substantially increased purse and online preregistration, so fans will know what drivers to expect.

The TOMS (Texas Outlaw Modified Series) are scheduled for Friday, September 19th, paying $1,500 to win USRA legal Modifieds. It will also be a RRS point’s event.

Normal RRS Adult (ages 16-64) ticket prices are $12, Youth ages 12-15/Seniors/Active Military are all $8, Kids age 6-11 are $2; and Ages 5 & under are free with Adult purchase. All Pit Passes for all ages will be $30 nightly. Special event pricing for the grandstands and pits are posted on various scheduled nights for divisions such as OCRS, ASCS, USMTS, TOMS and TOWR. Those specifics are listed on the new track schedule.

Reminder, ALL race drivers are required to run RaceCeivers and transponders at RRS. Each is available for rental or purchase through RRS in case you don’t have one. Pricing will be posted soon. RaceCeivers are critical to keeping drivers informed of hazards on the speedway and keeping the show moving along, while the transponders ensure accurate electronic scoring.

USRA Modified teams should get their licenses purchased, if they have not already. Links to the pertinent USRA information are posted on the Driver Info/Rules page.

Thank you again to the racing community’s strong support of the new Red River Speedway, and we’re looking forward to being your Friday night place to race in 2014 – and in years’ to come!
