Spring Meltdown Schedule Change

Because of weather issues, here is our plan concerning the Spring Meltdown. At this time we still plan on running the Spring Meltdown this weekend. We are moving practice from Thursday to Friday. We will be racing our Saturday night show on Saturday night ($3,000 to win Super Late Models, $2,500 to win Sprint Cars and $1,500 to win for A Mods) and our Friday night show ($2,000 to win on Super Late Models, $2,500 to win on Sprint Cars and $1,000 to win A Mods) on Sunday night. We believe because of the weather forecast this gives the racers and fans the best option for getting in both nights of racing and providing drivers and fans with the best shows possible.

Friday night, we will have an open practice for all divisions of race cars from 6 pm until 9 pm as long as cars are going out on the track or it does not get to cold. Even though it is going to be cold on Friday night (forecasted highs mid 40′s) we want to get cars on the track and get any issues with the track surface ironed out before we go racing Saturday night. Pit passes will be $20 for car and driver and $10 for all additional personnel. There will be no grandstand admission. Pit gates open at 4 pm.

On Saturday night we will run the planned Saturday night portion of the Durst Double Down Spring Meltdown with the CBC/MLRA Late Model feature paying $3,000 to win and the A Mod feature paying $1,500 to win. The ASCS Midwest Sprint Cars will pay $2,500 to win each night. Grandstand Admission will be $25 for adults, $5 for kids (6-12) with 5 and under free as always with Pit passes $30. Pit gates will open at 12 Noon with Drivers Meeting at 4:15 pm. Grandstands will open at 4:00 pm and racing will start at 5:30 pm.

On Sunday night we will run the planned Friday night portion of the Durst Double Down Spring Meltdown with the CBC/MLRA Late Model feature paying $2,000 to win and the A Mod feature paying $1,000 to win. The ASCS Midwest Sprint cars will also run another complete show paying $2,500. Grandstand Admission is $20, Kids (6-12) $5 and 5 and under free. Pit Passes will once again be $30. Pit gates open at 12 Noon, Drivers Meeting at 3:45 pm. Grandstands at 3:30 pm with racing scheduled for 5 pm.

Please keep all your fans, sponsors and other racers updated about this weekends plans.

Durst Motorplex will still be paying their $2,500 bonus to any driver who wins both features in any class making it possible for a driver to win $7,500 in the Super Late Models and Sprint Cars and $5,000 to win in the A Mods.

Also don’t forget to stop at Durst Motorplex, 115 “O” Street in Lincoln and get your $5 off coupons for the Durst Double Down Spring Meltdown.

From the posts on I-80's dirt driver message board the list of 360 drivers coming to the Meltdown is going to provide for a very strong field of cars

Add Jake Martens to the list.  He was at the Univ. of Nebraska-Kearney speaking to students and showing off his car.  A great PR move for his sponsor.
