I had to look back at a pic and conferm it, but, Saldana is one of the few that runs a LH arm board, sure thier just fiberglass but you would think that would increase your chances of not getting sprayed or contaced by small debris, I personall dont like them, and im proubly too tall to use one, watching drivers finagle thier way out of them is kinda tricky looking, hell im pretty tucked in the way it is with a LH arm guard, which brings up a question, would that help this type injury had that bar been in place?, alot of guys run without them,(typically bigger drivers)  me personally ive never owned a chassis without it and i would have one weldd in if i bought one without.  alot of Outlaws dont run a rock screen either, just surprized at the risks they take when the products are avalible and considering what thier profession is, look what happens with a injury to a driver. down time ,ER med bills  ect. do they just claim Aflac? anyway,   of all guys that has been thro a spell of injury  Get Well Joey!

sorry 57, i was responding the same time you posted this, thanks,    RH  fiberglass arm guard did not deflect the debris completly rather than it punctured the Guard and entered the cockpit. so this could be a fracture ?, rather than a "compound" (am i right)  fracture?  dunno im not a doc, but, major differance in heal time.. correct?

If it wasn't for bad luck Joey would have no luck at all. Seems like whenever he gets something going for him something bad happens to set him back. 2010 probably could have won the championship or contended to the final event and gets injured, hurt during the 2011 kings royal, released in 2012 after being a contender consistenly, and now this. Got to hand it to Joey though, I have never heard him complain about it, just goes along and rolls with the punches.

Joey will overcome this just like he has overcome all his other injuries! Its why he is one of my favorite drivers! Joey is tough as nails and NEVER complains! Fantastic driver and even better person!

He tweeted today that he will be back at Tucson.  He also showed a picture of his wrist; unreal, I bet its as big around as his thigh.  He is one tough cookie.

Saw a picture of his arm on Facebook and his forearm looked like there was a baseball under the skin.
