Need some info on dirt tracks/sprints near the Baltimore area. Will be in Baltimore area the first weekend in April. Looking for races within a couple hours drive time. Had the pleasure of experiencing Williams Grove last July. Certainly worth a return visit. And I have heard of Port Royal. So anyone with info/comments/suggestions on Fri/Sat/Sun night sprint car racing the firt weekend of April near Baltimore/Pennsylvania please share. Many thanks..............

Howabout Lincoln Speedway on Saturday night. it is closer to Baltimore than Port, plus the racing is closer.

That weekend I'd go to Port Royal. They are running 410's , Late Models , and 305 Sprint cars. That is also Camera and Autograph night , where they let anyone go into the pits an hour or so before the races to take pictures , meet the drivers , and get autographs. Lincoln is running 410's and 358's that night along with All American Outlaws , which are about like watching paint dry.

Still will see a better race at Lincoln. Port will more and likely be strung out single file, with little to no passing.

I live in the burbs of where your going to be and, I'm going to Willy G's and Higgerstown that weekend...However, I agree with Slink, Lincoln would be the choice for 410's...
It's a shame your not coming a week later, SSP has the 410's and 358's on Sunday...
Opinions may vary...

I wasn't getting into a Port Royal vs. Lincoln battle Slink. I just think Port would be a better choice that particular weekend because of what is going on. Since he isn't from central PA, this way he can get up close and take some pictures and meet some of the drivers.
NO WAY can ANYONE predict which track will have the better race on any particular weekend.

That's easy when it comes to Port or lincoln. Lincoln always has a good race. Port NEVER has as close or as good of racing like Lincoln. The fans up there see 2nd place starter past the pole sitter with 1 to go, and the race was the best they've ever seen. I'd take passing all over the place over one pass for the lead any day. Results don't lie. Most nights at Port the winner came from the first 4 staring spots.JMO

To the Texas Outlaw, it's 3+ additional hours to drive to and from Port over Lincoln from Baltimore...If that helps in your decission making process...

A big thanks for all the info, really appreciate it. If I understood the web sites and everyone's comments, I am thinking WG on Friday night, down to Lincoln on Saturday, back to Baltimore for flight home on Sunday.

Lincoln for sure. The racing there is always good, never saw a bad race there.

Lincoln IS and always WAS my favorite track in PA. You would be wise to pick up Baltimore Bill with you in your travels, he will keep the night alive for ya', lol.....

A better evening would be, have Baltimore Billy give you a tour of the Hood instead...

Nelligan's nerves might not survive the hood ride with Baltimore Billy...he went for the automatic locks in Lancaster when I took him thru my old hood~!
as he would say "true story"...you can't make his stuff up!

I grew up in an area you wouldn't last five minutes in BRR and I fought for 20 years on the ice playing the greatest game on the planet. Not only did nothing ever scare me in PA I announced my visits for more than a decade and never heard from or met any of the big mouth detractors. I didn't have to hide under an alias either, like you have Mark, lol....

I'd go watch the Saturday night series at the Grove before I went to Linkin.
