Daytona 500--I know most of you won't be watching this "race" but i am having some friends over (no--I'm not lying--I have some friends) to play poker and do some friendly betting on the "race" outcome.  They usually have the actual green flag time guarded better than fort knox--they obviously want everyone to tune in for 3 hours before the actual race starts and listen to a bunch of boogity--boogity Bull$hit!

Anyways, i have found some sites saying green flag is 1:30 eastern time.  This seems very early to me if i remember the previous few years.  I remember them finishing in the dark.  Anyone out there know when this "race" actually starts?

A few years ago they decided to get back to consistent start times much like the NFL is on Sundays. Looks like the green flag will drop between 1:00 - 1:20 pm EST.

I'm seeing the same thing.  Thanks for the confirmation.
