This past weekend Myles Bishop and the Velocity Motorsports Team visited Santa Maria for the Grand Slam event. With fifty cars on hand it was going to be a tough one. With the VMS team going out 40th it was going to be interesting. Myles pulled off a 15.5 and would have the orange and black number 7 in 16th quick. This would put the team on the outside pole for the first heat. With little to no time to spare the VMS team jumped into action to make some adjustments. When the green flag waved Davey Pombo would take the lead and Myles would fall behind him. Charge after charge Pombo held off Bishop. Then with two to go the quick qualifier of the night would pass Myles and take second with Myles in third. The Velocity Motorsports team took a rest for a while until the a-main was getting ready. With the track taking rubber it was going to be a good race. Starting 10th Myles knew he would have his work cut out for him. When the green dropped Bishop would make a charge for the front passing into 6th. Until on lap six was spun out in turn two by Greg Porte. So to the back Myles went and then charging back to the front again gaining up to 9th. On lap 21 the red flag would come out for fuel only. Myles would be sitting in 9th spot. Not knowing how much fuel was in the tank the team dumped three gallons in to be safe. When the green came back out the car would have a push and the VMS team would end up in 15th. But 15th out of 50 is not bad not bad at all.
Myles would like to thank his crew consiting of Steve Bishop, Matt Durica, Kent Miller, and Kory Miller for a great car all night long and the hard work they put into the pits week in and week out.
This weekend the Velocity Motorsports Team will travel to Bakersfield for the SCRA event. Sitting 10th in points and 5th in dash points the team hopes to make up some ground on the rest of the field.

Man you need to break that up a bit. Very hard to read. Also did they really start 50 cars in the main?
