Great read as always, but one minor disagreement regarding track conditions.
Most of the 5 days were ran on a very good track but the Tuesday qualifiers started out on a crap track. They did a great job of working on it and by the fourth qualifier it was much better....but no doubt that the first one was ran around the top peeling cushion and very little chance to pass low.
Yup, Emmett, Lanny and crew were only about 98% perfect this year.

I've unsubscribed everything I could that Sleaze spreads his garbage views upon. Gave it a chance... only so much a rational person can take. When he talks racing, racing history & racing facts... good stuff.
If the Swindells are "piss poor humans" (which I strongly disagree with)... what is Kevin Eckert?

It never ceases to amaze me how so many people complain when someone rips another a new anus while having no qualms about doing so themselves. I'd rather read the words of someone that's upfront with how they feel. Gives a clear view of where you stand. Kevin doesn't hide how he feels. When you know that going in, you have no reason to gripe. Otherwise, don't read it. One question. If Kevin had the power to affect the weather, why would he not be able to offer his services to the highest bidder?

I don't know any of these drivers personally, probably never will, & thats OK with me. I just like to watch them race , & Swindells are great racers.
But I also enjoy Kevin's writing. So I'm asking Kevin, what in particular prompted your insult of the Swindells?

I quit reading his column a long time ago. My father was from Iowa, and I know lots of great people from there, and his bashing of that state was the final straw for me. Just watch his threads just fade quickly to the second page, then the third.....

Thank You Speedbump for observing me at sporting and yes I am. Every year I go to sporting events and every year I volunteer to the Special Olympics I try to encourage. Yes everyone gets a ribbon, and everyone is treated as a winner. Try it sometime. It has brought me much joy and pleasure to see the kids and adults doing there best.
There is no greater calling than so serve your brothers. There is no greater satisfaction than to do it well.
