Still dumfounded as to why he wouldnt follow Hodnett this year because he was taking a year off, but would join a team like the Wilts. I am a fan of Adam and sit by their family at the Grove, but it puzzles me as to why Lee would say he wants to take time off, then join a team thats not as well budgeted as Heffner.

Some times it is just time for a change after working with the same driver or team for a while. Should be interesting.

I would be willing to bet that it is more to do with money than anything. Maybe Heffner didn't want to pay what Stauffer was asking!!
Wilt 90% of the time is out of control!! I remember watching The Open from the Grove when Wilt called Lafferty a ping pong ball!!
Kinda like the pot callin the kettle black!!!
I am thinking deeper pocket prevaild in this case.

I thought I read somewhere that Lee was burned out and wanted to take a break. He then said he would return but not to a schedule that he had with Hodnett.

Whenever Wilt is under control, and set up properly he is a damn good driver and can win a race. So im sure Lee will help him this year, just surpised.

If he is a damn good drive as you stated, why does he not win more?? He is a field filler at best!!
At any rate, yes Lee is a great addition to any team!!

He has potential but coming up in the company with Marks and Dietrich in the past 2 years puts it into perspective of how he is progressing. Sometimes it looks like the car is lacking horsepower and other times, for example this years National Open, he has one of the hardest hitting bullets in the pits. Adam is a real nice guy though and always a pleasure to talk to, wish him the best. Should be interesting. Always a sharp looking car too.

yea i think he was just ready for a fresh start. these guys put in so much time into these deals it is easy for things to get bland. i think its great cuz we will now see if adam can take it to the next level with brent and danny. i think this team can do some real damage at lincoln. and speedweek assuming they run all the shows. should be interesting...

Yes, I agree. How ever just because Wilt's team has the money to buy the same motor,rear,frame..... as everyone els dosn't make him a super star.
There is a chance he does have what it takes to make it! There is no dought that Stauffer will help him/team a bunch!!
but I do feel if he would slow his aggression down a few notches the guy would win more, he would not tear so much equipment up!!
Hear is a quote I have used with every drive I have wrenched for.
"You must first finish, to be able to finish first"
being fast and wreched never is a good thing!!
