I totally forgot all about this guy. Whatever happened to him? If I remember right, he ran Knoxville for a few years but I have no clue where he ended up. I assume funds possibly ran out? I remember he set quicktime (maybe even a track record at the time) at Cedar Lake during the Jerry Richert Memorial. Looked like there was some potential. Fill me in Knoxville folks.

I don't think the funds ever ran out in that family, I think that they just got tired of shelling out all the cash his dad is a busy guy with the well & pump business. His hauler is parked inside the gates of the Featherlite plant near Cresco Ia next to Jeff Gordons old trailer which I assume means its for sale. His last race at knox was the 05 nats and since then nada. He had great equipment and it wouldnt surprise me to see him re-surface in the future

Alright, here it is.

Colin still has alot of his equipment and has sold some. Hose and I had a schedule and maybe even a few sponsors for Colin to run the All Star trail this year or maybe something a little less. But as of now Colin just wanted to run one of his dads crews digging Wells and installing Pumps.

But anyway, I was very disappointed he didn't want to go out cause I was full and ready to make it happen for him. I even had a few sponsor that were willing to give some serious Dough but I just needed Hose to get him to go and do it. One of my Friends I had coming into my bar every week had an open ended appointment set up for me to meet with a Rock Star rep. The Hotel I was working at was talking with me about seeing if we could get many Hotel rooms free. I was doing alot of marketing for Colin and was going ot make it possible for him to go on the All Star trail this year. But he wanted to stay around and work for the family. Nothing wrong with that. Or atleast that was the word hose got back to me with.

It was going to be a tight budget unless I had found more money. I am sure I could have found it for him had I had a full commitment from him. I was sorta looking forward to being on the All Star trail all year with the Rock Star Energy Drink, Coca Cola, Choice Hotel, Northway Well and Pump #60. but Life is lfe and people need to do the things that make them happy.

the last time i saw him was in a  Gumout race at Beaver Dam.   his night didn't last long though as Travis Whitney in the 02 car, rammed him immediately into the front stretch wall as the green dropped for a heat race. 

i don' think that anyone named "Colin"  will ever have trouble with being under-funded.

Yeah, his dad does have some money. Colin was very much under funded in 2005. Colin was on his own that year. He was using all his old parts from the years before. If you had walked by his trailer in 2005 you would have seen that everything in it would have fit in a trailer 1/4 it's size. His dad didn't give him much of anything in his last year. Just cause the dad is rich doesn't mean he will keep giving it out like candy. We weren't expecting to get much if we did the All Star thing.
