Because RBN has the broadcasting rights to the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals. We at RacinBoys Broadcasting Network will take any and all legal action against anyone attemping to stream any audio or video from any night of the Chili Bowl or ASCS races. I'm pretty sure our partners at MAVTV wouldn't be happy as well.

I think that any chance we can support sprint car racing or any sort of dirt track racing we should do it the right way.

With that said, there are hundreds if not thousands of sites that stream all channels all the time. That will be a tough battle to take legal action. Once you take care of one, another one will pop up.

Scott: So will you prosecute people who create the stream, or folks who try to watch it?

I believe they would go after the person broadcasting the stream. I don't think legally by just watching the stream theres much of anything that can be done to you. That would be like someone posting a photo on this forum but it is a copyrighted image, the actual owner of the image could go after the person that posted it if they were trying to take credit for it or make money off it, but they couldn't sue you for looking at the posted photo. The UFC has threatened to go after the viewers as well but I don't think they would have much luck, the UFC has been successful in getting streaming sites taken down in the past though. UFC is aggressive with this because they charge big bucks for the PPV, whereas I'm guessing what this guy is going to stream is the actual MAV TV broadcast. I would more so understand why RBN would be upset if someone did this to there PPV broadcast because that is directly people who would watch it for free rather than paying for the PPV.

What this site would stream would be the video, not just the audio. My guess is they will stream the video of the Mav TV broadcast

i have no connection to who ever is going to stream the mav tv broadcast. i was only passing it along after i heard about it. i know that scott from racin boys left me a private message but i was not able to download the software to read the message. scott if you want to call me my number is 818 668-0989. for the past two years i have been watching streaming video of the supercross races and the nascar races on justin tv because i do not have cable or satellite service.

MAVTV is not available in Canada.  Hopefully the stream doesn't get shut down so us folks have the opportunity to watch.

The only reason MAV would be able to seek any legal is if saturday was a ppv. Anyone that already has the channel wont watch a stream. The others that dont, will watch the stream that includes all commercials. That will keep the sponsors happy, and intice people to change their current cable to get something that offers MAV. Win Win !

Not to be a total jerk.........but the only way the streams will be taken down is by DMCA.  Legal recourse ain't gonna happen, but nice try

funny how racinboys calles em partners. racinboys took peoples money all week at 100 dollars to show them basically prelims. even though they supported the sport and the race, they wont be able to see a video cause mavtv owns the rights... really.... great partners their bud... maybe some in the country have tv providers that dont carry mavtv, but they did pay for the video all week... then when it gets to be at the part everyone goes back to the stands for, it goes to audio... and how much they pay.... then you get on here and talk about takin legal action... wow.... thats progressing the sport

Ironically, an event that generates world wide interest is accessible only to a hanfull.

Go figure...!
