RacinBoys Continues PPV tonight at Lucas Oil Chili Bowl

Posted on: January 15th, 2014 by rb_admin

By Inside Line Promotions (Tulsa, OK) — The 28th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals Presented by General Tire got off to a rousing start on Tuesday night at Tulsa Expo Raceway.

Jonathan Beason, who hails from nearby Broken Arrow, Okla., led all 25 laps of the main event to capture his first career preliminary night victory during the opening round of the premier midget event of the season.

On Wednesday, Beason will return to work at his parent’s local lawn and garden business.

“I’ve got to go to work tomorrow and maybe sell some darn lawnmowers,” he said with a giant smile. “Not a lot of lawnmowers are needed right now.”

Beason was all smiles after a thrilling event, which RacinBoys captured all of the sizzling action from during its live Pay-Per-View broadcast. RacinBoys will continue on Wednesday with the second of four qualifying nights with racing scheduled to begin at approximately 6 p.m. (CST).

For fans unable to attend the event, RacinBoys and partners Lucas Oil and MAVTV will provide live Pay-Per-View of the entire event for only $99.99 or $25 per day. For more information, visit http://www.RacinBoys.com.

On Tuesday, Beason put on a show with runner-up Zach Daum and third-place finisher Alex Bright slicing and dicing throughout thick traffic around the bullring. At least once each, both Daum and Bright pulled next to Beason, who maintained the top position for the entire race after earning the pole position from scoring the most points during heat race and qualifier action.

“If he was going to give us the race we were going to take it,” Daum said. “I could’ve thrown a slide job, but as slick as the track was it was going to crash both of us.”

The three drivers are locked into Saturday’s main event.

“This is the best race I’ve had at the Chili Bowl,” Bright said. “To be locked in is quite amazing.”

Thursday’s round of qualifying includes notable drivers Sammy Swindell – who owns an event-best five victories – as well as NASCAR driver J.J. Yeley and a host of other champion racers.

RacinBoys will provide live Pay-Per-View from all of the qualifying night action Tuesday through Friday as well as Saturday’s features until MAVTV begins its broadcast, which is scheduled for approximately 7:30 p.m. (CST). At that point, fans who have purchased the RacinBoys Pay-Per-View will have audio for the remainder of the Chili Bowl.

Planning to buy/watch tomorrow (Thurs nite) since I *should* be able to devote a totally free nite to do so -- and will review the comparitive coverage and stream quality shortly afterward.

Note - Any previously reported streaming issues should be obliviated by my megabig UVerse pipeline and hardware issues are of no concern here... *insert bigass-overly-qualified-PC-smugnes*. Smile

Will be watching on XP Pro, 3G+OC Quadcore, 8G memory, 2G RAM Asus NVidea 610 HDMI video card  to 1080p BenQ 1070 on 100" projection screen ... in case anyone's wondering about tech-specs = no brag, just facts and bidness as usual here. wink

Good luck tomorrow.  I bought the 5 day $99 package, have fiber connection with very high upload/download speeds.  Tue was almost perfect, I think one blip maybe.  Wed was constatly having to refresh, even rebooting a couple a times. Real glitchy for most of the evening and I have far more computer specs than you list.

I know they are working very hard to give us a god show and I really appreciate the effort.  As far as I am concerned because I can't be there this is well worth the money.  Keep up the good work RacinBoys and I'll see you @ Cocopah!!!

They should put the last nights archived event up for viewing ASAP. (Before tonight's event). All the buffering kept me from getting comfortable on the couch, that's for sure.

I believe they have the issue fixed. I was watching from an ipad yesterday and it kept stopping so i thought it was because of the ipad so i switched to the comp, and still had issues. Checked the chat room and they said they had it fixed, went back to the ipad and had no problems the rest of the time. pretty good racing so far this week.

I'm VERY disappointed in the PPV broadcast. CONSTANT buffering and stopping both nights. Hopefully it gets better. If not , this is definately my last time dealing with racingboys.com. Last year I bought the complete WoO season package from Dirtvision. They had issues sometimes from track to track , but most of the time it was just like watching TV. It's still better than nothing , BUT not near worth the $100 I gave them for 5 nights.

RacinBoys worked hard all night and (for me anyway) the B features and the A was flawless.  Frustrating up to that point but on the second reboot by RacinBoys, it was perfect for the last three races.

Turn 2 Media and Weds Night Broadcast of the Chili Bowl

Turn 2 Media has been involved in live pay-per-view event broadcasting since 2007. Many of you know us from our Knoxville Raceway live streams and those early on know us from the Belleville Midget Nationals, Western World, etc.  We currently have over 1000 hours of live internet video production under our belts. Besides doing our own live video, we have multiple clients that we work with to help them with their live video - whether with delivery, consulting, set-up, servers, networking, etc.

Racinboys has been a client of ours for almost 2 years now and we built out the backend of their website, have handled hosting and helped get them going with their own live video broadcasting. We have been involved, on some level, in every live broadcast they have done since their 1st event early 2013. They came to us regarding being a part of the Tulsa Shootout and Chili Bowl broadcasts and we were honored to be involved.

For these Tulsa events the Racinboys have been in full control of the production, cameramen, announcers, direction, etc. We were brought onboard to handle the website coding of video pages and buy pages, live stream delivery, archives, server configurations and tech support.

What happened on Weds night was an extremely unique situation, a sort of perfect storm of events regarding the publishing of the stream file. It was a very complex and complicated issue that took some time to troubleshoot its origin. We had our network partner engineers onboard during the problem to troubleshoot as well and as we dug deeper into the situation the cause was located, corrected and we came back and ran the (2) B-Features and the A-Main without issues. We hope many of you hung in as the A feature was a great one.

We at Turn 2 Media worked past 4:00am on changes and testing and we were back at it at 8:30 this morning so this very rare issue would not occur again. In reading thru log files, it seems the issue wasn't as bad as originally thought and effected 1/4 to 1/2 of those watching. We are confident this specific sequence of events have been corrected and will not occur again.

A bunch of people jumped to conclusions as to what was happening and blamed over selling the event and crashing the system, network, servers, etc. That 100% was not the case. We built out a very special 4 server system for the Racinboys to handle the event, this is the same configuration we designed for our own Knoxville Nationals broadcast. We have real-time server monitoring in place, and not once did the server CPU's show more then 18% usage. The network did not crash either, our delivery partner has handled some of the largest live streams in history including the Olympics, Final Four and Michael Jackson's Memorial Service.

We, at T2Media, wanted to take the time to speak out and clear the air on what happened, our involvement in the event and how things have been addressed for the remainder of the week's broadcasts. We hope you continue to support the live broadcasts and watch some of the great racing coming out of the Expo Center in Tulsa.

Thanks much for your time,
Turn 2 Media

Thanks for all the efforts put forth to improve the quality of your program. It was perfect for me last night. It did have a few refresh moments in the begining but it was smooth viewing for the most part.

thank you  for also putting this on PPV.

Man it's going to be a real bummer when this goes off the air and I can't watch the finals.

Oh well better then nothing at all.

Would it be possible that you put the race up after the race is over on internet?

You've been very active getting out the word about how hard your all worked to remedy Wednesdays fiasco but no word on what your doing to compensate us that spent the money only to get kicked off every 5 minutes. Not cool

I had an install that ran long and didn't get home til they were into the qualifiers so decided to pass on watching. Busy tonite and tomorrow as well -- so maybe next year.

So - how did it go from those that did watch? How's the show/coverage quality? Camerawork, directing, graphics, replays etc?

The feed was great!

They played re-play's of action, and if they missed some action they would re-play that for you, spin's,passes, and flips.

There was some delays in the program for track prep, but that is the program.

As it was the 25 lapper went green, white ,checkered ,and man it was fast.

Didn't hear if it broke the 25 lap track record, but it got dusty .

I'm so stoked on this years coverage .

Hope they can continue and maybe have it where all PPV people will get to see the main's too.

Thats the biggest set back about the whole deal is the lame cable mofia wars.

Turns out MAVTV decides if your area should have it,and not my cable pervider.BUMMER

2cents.
