Notice all cars look identical, accpet Larsons, whos Air Cleaner sits much much higher, wonder why thats different only on larsons??

I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night, I'd take a wild guess and say that Larson's air cleaner is taller

Differnt motors. Larson can't have TRD motor racing for Chevy in crapcar.

Says TRD on the valve cover, but nowhere else on the car.

If you look at both Larson's car and Rico's car they both have TRD on the valve covers but Larson's car has a different header. would be interesting to know why.

It was mentioned during the main that they had changed motors during the week from an electronic fuel injection system back to a manual system. That was probably the difference. If you look at the picture of Kyle pulling off the track after the motor blew up, you can see he has the lower air cleaner and had a different set of headers on his car just like the others.
