I know the BCRA people are going to get a little unhappy about this but here goes anyways. Santa Maria is a combo show (27 cars). Granted their first points car finished 13th. They fight the idea of a combo show (which would probably had 30 cars) so they can put on a subpar show with 18 cars.
Why don't people want competition. Isn't what is good for the fans whats important.
I guess not

First off, I’m not "BCRA People", just a fan. Second, I don’t see anything mentioned in the press release about WHY USAC cancelled, it would be nice to know why. If you know something that’s not in the press release, please, clue us in.

When we talked to the BCRA people at the USAC/BCRA race at Santa Maria 3 weeks ago, we asked them about the Hanford show. Their powers at be said " This is a BCRA only race". When we told them that USAC had it on their schedule the said " USAC will not be at this race as a sanctioning body because the have a signed contract saying BCRA is the only sanctioning body"
Why I am upset is now we will only have 15-18 cars when if they allowed USAC to sanction also it would be at least 25-30. I just want more cars for a better show. Not only do I work on these cars I am also a fan. I also think if the clubs worked together it would strengthen midget racing in California.

Perhaps this has something to do with sanctioning fees vs. competition between clubs. Weren't a few USAC-CRA races cancelled @ Kings as well? Who knows.....
