Since this is the King's last tour, I am looking at making a couple more WOO shows than normal.   I-55 and 34 Raceway are both roughly the same distance from my house.   Which track would have a better Outlaw show?   I have not been to either track, and both will require a stay in a motel room.   So both of these items are a push.

Thanks

Jon

That's a tough call.  I've been to the last 3 WoO shows at 34, and have been to half a dozen or so WoO shows at I-55, although none within the past 5 yrs or more.

I-55 is a balls-to-the-wall mini-Eldora that is a slidejob bonanza when the track is right.... and 34 is a pretty typical semi-banked 3/8... edge I-55.

34 can have amazing racing when the track is right... but can get one-lane fast when it's too wet.  The only thing that can bring I-55 down is if it lays rubber, but I think recently they've tilled it up and tried to prevent rubber... edge I-55.

34 has a pretty decent group  of 305 sprints as the support class, and I-55 has mods... edge 34.

I-55 has support from some of the local southern Missouri cars (Tommy Worley, etc), while 34 gets support from the Knoxvillle locals (McCarl, Maeschen, I. Madsen, etc) ... edge 34.

There are few tracks I've been to more exciting than I-55... but I don't think you can go wrong with 34 either.

Been to both tracks several times as inlaws live in Burlington, and Pevely is on my way to Knoxville in August.... Pevely is a fast bullring, and for a great action shot catch a lap or two standing at the fence in turn 3 watching the cars rumble down the backstrecth toward you in 3... Just be prepared to get pelted with dirt... Burlington doesn't have  the speed or banking Pevely has, but there is no wall in turns 1 and 2.. So drivers occasionally go over the banking in turn 1 and come back out in turn 2, or sometimes get a wild upside down ride... Either way I don't think you can lose, racing has been pretty good at both tracks... Only downside is rain and flooding  seem to be a big problem at Pevely for the April race... Also Burlington and its close proximity to Knoxville sems to bring several Knoxville regulars... Have fun....

Pevely, and it's not really even close, in my opinion.

Pevely hands down! One of the best tracks the woo run on their schedule, its right up there with Eldora and Knoxville.
