Looks good

Like the 40 lappers, wished there was more CRA races, liked flat track on schedule again.  CRA/Woo wow did not think that would ever happen.

Track prep and conditions throughout the night should be interesting.

Why? I only think it is an issue if they overthink it. Prep for the Sprint Cars and let the WoO do what they do, the couple of WoO shows ive seen there on "Wing Car" tracks were pretty bad so they can't do worse on a Sprint Car track.

Dont the WoO do their own track prep?

I didn't mean my comment to be negative.  I just remember in other areas of the country I've lived in, when the Outlaws came to town they preferred to have the track prepped in a way that allowed it to slick up over the course of the evening.  I don't believe they do their own prep, but closely oversee how it is prepped...at least they used to.

The last few times I've been to Perris for USAC shows, the track stayed pretty tacky throughout the night - or at least not slick over real bad (except for one hot, windy night).  I assumed that's the norm.

I was just saying the conditions might be a little different, and it'll be interesting to see how it goes.  But I agree, if PAS has full control - prep as usual and let the Outlaws adapt.

as some on this site suggest , track prep dictates the race . it determines whether we see lots of passing or not . it decides the quality of the race we see . well im here to tell you thats so far from the truth . the single most important part of the race evening is qualifying ! all i said is IMPORTANT .. we all race on the same track , no matter the conditions . with this many cars on the track , there is a good chance of a slick track ( as Woo wants this ) . once the entire track surface is slick there is only the cushon to run on to be fast . when the track surface takes rubber , and i dont mean just a little color change , the cars will be able to use the rubber laid down on the track to a degree . with the slick track comes some dust .

some may not understand that if the guy leading another car does not make a mistake , the guy behind may not have a chance to pass . drivers are what make passes happen , not track conditions . when mike martin beat all the 410 national boys at canyon , he qualified near the top , which placed his car for the feature , and raced a flawless main , no one was able to pass him because he made no mistakes !

regardless of track conditions it will be a great race . the guys at the PAS do an outstanding job , my hats off to them !!

Agree with everything - especially your last statement.  I think this will be a "must see" show and the date is already circled on my calendar.

The turns are tricky for the wing cars. I am hoping that the combined show widens the track out for the WoO. I just assume the CRA show will be good regardless.

I see that KWS 410 wing series has just scheduled a race on April 12 at Thunderbowl Raceway against the WoO show at the PAS on the same date. Does anybody have a guess what the car count will be at the pas now. On Friday April 11th at Hanford the WoO will have cars from both series.
