I thought I saw that USAC National Sprints and Midgets are gonna run Feb 28/March 1for the Copper on Dirt at Canyon speedway, and than saw it again posted by Lance. You don't suppose they would go up the road and run at PAS. Hopefully the schedule is correct and it is the National Boys (and not just a regional or CRA sprint car race. Pretty busy card with USAC National Midget, sprint, DLM and IMCA.

Be really surprised if Natl Sprints showed for "Copper on Dirt",when they open in Fla. again as they did then...and after they did what they did to Kevin for the same event that listed them (Scheduled) at Tucson a couple yrs ago!!!..they decided to race in Fla. instead of Tucson "COD"!!!....didn't make us fans or Kevin happy i'm sure!!!!.always 'JMO'!!.....

No USAC National race at The PAS until the Oval Nats but there is a early season USAC/CRA WoO double header in April.

‘Copper On Dirt’ showcases USAC Sprints and Midgets
Posted on: March 1st, 2013 by rb_admin
By USAC PR (Peoria, AZ) — The AMSOIL USAC CRA Sprint Cars and USAC Western Midgets open their 2013 campaigns in this weekend’s 6th “Copper on Dirt” events at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Ariz.
Defending USAC National Drivers Champion Bryan Clauson and five-time consecutive USAC/CRA Sprint Car king Mike Spencer, plus Western Midget Champion Shannon McQueen are all gearing up for the 1/3-mile dirt oval, which also sports West Coast Late Model and IMCA Modified competition.
Clauson is expected to compete in both events of the USAC “doubleheader” after posting an AMSOIL USAC National Sprint win at Ocala, Fla. last Thursday night. Hunter Schuerenberg, USAC’s brand-new AMSOIL National Sprint Car leader after three “top-four” finishes at Ocala, also is expected to compete at Peoria.
Clauson has now won at least one USAC National victory every year since his debut in 2005. McQueen posted more than a dozen “top-10” finishes on her way to the 2012 Western Midget crown. She also was the recipient of the prestigious “Kara Hendrick Award” from Lyn St. James’ Women in the Winners Circle last year. Spencer became the first USAC driver in history to win five consecutive series titles with his 2012 championship. He scored nine victories during the 2012 CRA campaign.

Oooooops, Sorry Kenny !!...mite have been ($$$$) under the Bridge for Kevin/Benji!!..BUT,a handful of USAC Nat'l guys show'n up for the (ASCS) 360 "CoD" @ CSP last yr., doesn't mean it was a (USAC) Natl. Event...without (also) be'n on the Nat'l Sched.!!!...thats what I was refiring to with the mention of "CoD" @ Tucson a couple yrs. ago!!...correct me again, if I'm wrong!!...also,its JMO, that the only 410 "CoD" events were held @ our beloved "Manzanita Spdway"....headline up top almost states it all...should've said/read: This Years 'Copper on Dirt' (NOW) Showcases USAC 360 & W/S Midgets @ CSP!!......

No you were't wrong Bruce, but if I'm not mistaken Kevin is still working for USAC at this point of the game and it's not old wrongs that are holding things up at this stage of their relationship.

I remember that night well.. Windom had them covered but ran out of gas in a Sprinter and that gave it to Levi..Then Levi passed Bud coming off the last turn digging up top in the big cars to win that one too.
