so, now the Iowa State Fairgrounds and Crawford County will be competing for the same cars on Friday nights??

Hope the car count is big enough to go around, but this is a little worrisome....

Great to see more weekly racing, but why compete against Des Moines, that can't help car counts

Crawford County Speedway is acutally in Denison, IA, which is western IA.

Lee County Speedway, aka Donnellson, is south of Mt. Pleasant, in southeastern IA.

I do agree with your concern of 2 Friday night tracks, Denison and Des Moines, running 305 sprints against each other.  However, Denison is only 2 hours from Eagle, NE & 3 hours from Huset's.  There are a lot of sprint owners in this vicinity that may look at running a 305 on Friday nights.  The Des Moines track would likely draw the Knoxville & eastern IA cars.  There might (I stress might) be enough cars in the area to support it.

Donnellson is only about 45 mins from me. Ive watched sprints there , always a good show.  Now Denison on the other hand; thats a long ways away from here!

They don't compete for cars in this class. This is a start up at both tracks. Presently the only Racesaver 305's are in Nebraska and race at Eagle. For the most part, you don't see alot of travelers. 2 hours from Lincoln to Denison. Denison dropped the late models and this is the replacement. Not sure of total classes but probably close to the same, to many.

I DONT THINK THERE WILL BE A PROBLEM WITH CAR COUNT..TEXAS STARTED 3 YEARS AGO WITH 8 CARS NOW THEY HAVE 240...EAGLE NE STARTED THIS YEAR WITH 9 CARS AND FINISHED THE SEASON WITH  61 AT THE SEASON END BIG RACE..THINKING THE RACESAVER SPRINT DIVISION WILL SAVE SPRINTCAR RACING ACROSS THIS STATE ALSO

Same weekend as the Jackson Nationals. I`m heading north. BTW sprintfn1, 360`s are alive and well in Nebraska. there is plenty of room for both classes. Nebraska 360 series schedule is already nearly full.

sprintfan1 is correct ( I wish more poeple would listen to him! )

There should be no car count issue at Denison, as the Nebraska cars would not be going to Des Moines regularly any way. I think the Des Moines track will be getting more cars every week.

I'm looking forward to going to Des Monies every Friday, and then K'ville on Saturday.

See you there!

This is really cool. Sprint cars have needed an affordable unified set of rules for a long time. With Eagle, Arlington, Des Moines,  Dennison, and possibly Jackson all running Racesaver 305's this deal is really taking off in the midwest. Very cool. Wish I was still racing

mabey with this deal you could get involved again ..the thing that stands out at the tracks already running the racesaver engines is the car count just keeps getting bigger

Whats the purse going to look like?  Eagle's, with 1k to win 200 to start, or closer to the rest of the 305's w/ 500 to win 50 to start?
