hand eye coordination is not all that kept McNabb from doing anything other than collect a paycheck!

Hire Limbaugh ? He was fired for saying that the NFL was looking for a black quarterback to make him a hero or something to that effect & Limbaugh said it wasn't Mcnabb.
That's why I said Limbaugh was right about him all along. Mcnabb should pay back some of that 35 million cause he sure wasn't worth it !!!!

I agree Mcnabb wasn't worth the money. One of the most over-hyped players ever. Not saying he wasn't a servicable quarterback, but he only had a year or two that were better than average. Career completion percentage: 59% Career quarterback rating: 85 The numbers of a very good backup quarterback.
Most of my Bear fan buddies just torch Jay Cutler and want him burned at the stake. His stats are very similar--but Mcnabb gets his number retired?

I really don't care what McNabb has to say about race car drivers being athletes. Not sure why everbody gets spun up when some celebrity or football player makes a comment. Who really cares about anything they have to say?

Well if thinks race car drivers aren't athletes, then I would respond by saying someone that throws football's at people's feet isn't an athlete either...
Real race cars don't have fenders...

I love how the racing community gets all excited anytime someone spouts off about the athleticism of a driver.
It's not athleticism that makes a driver great, it's hand/eye coordination, courage, usually a good understanding of the mechanics of a car, and all the other variables we don't understand.
Who cares what Donovan McNabb thinks?
|
If someone ever ask me to go find sprint car driver i would go where there was a foosball table. Quick hands, reaction time...but the thing that makes a great driver is the feeling they have to know what the limit is before the car breaks loose.

McNab was a much better NFL quarterback than you clowns think, sorry. He holds All-Time records in Philly for Passes Completed, Passing Yards, Passing TD's and Passing Yds/Game. He led the Eagles to 4 Consecutive NFC East Championships and 5 NFC Championship games along with 1 Super Bowl where he lost to Brady's Patriots. He was the Number 2 Over-All pick in the draft, voted the Big East Player of the Conference for the decade the 90's and also played Guard on the 1996 Syracuse Basketball team which was the Runner-Up for the National Championship. The man was a helluva ATHLETE and one of many people who believed at one point that Tiger Woods was the Best Athlete on the planet. Sorry to rain on your don't have a clue parade.....

Call it like you see it. I will. He's a racisssst, pure and simple. Call it jealous, envious, or any of another half dozen adjectives. We send our kids to school, make them study, graduate, get a job or go to college, don't do crime, don't stab your best friend to get is $150 Nike shoes, i.e., make it on your own, have an incentive in life instead of living generation after generation after generation off the government. Plays football? news to me. Ya know, lots of white people fall into that category of living off the gov gen after gen----trash. Better stop here.

This has NOTHING to do with the subject, does it? A black football player disses race drivers & you turn it into an attack on an entire race (Or actually your stereotype image of them) Does McNabb live off the government? Hell no, he made a fortune playing ball.
I think McNabb's point had to do with the fact that "athletes" are self propelled. They don't need a 900 HP engine.
Anyway, if you love sprint car racing, why should you care what some retired QB thinks?
On McNabb, he showed a lot of promise for a few years but didn't really live up to expectations. Big deal. Enjoy the races

McNabb has a net worth of $35 Million (hardly chump change) according to some site on the internet which because it's on the internet means it's right, lol. 6 time Pro-Bowl player with over 3,000 career pass completions and he completed twice as many TD passes as interceptions (234 - 117). Pretty decent player who won Philly a whole bunch of games and did it without playing behind any 400 pound lineman, lol. I have no idea what he said nor do I care, life goes on.....

Of course Mr, Nelligan wouldn't defend the hard working blue collar men and women that make up the Motorsports community. Your the all-time Racer hater, who tries to play it down while boasting about how glamerous your life is. how could I forget lol. Hey Mike, I got an idea. Why don't you and Donny boyy drive your personal limousine up and down the Slums of North Philly yelling and shouting out the window bragging about how much better you are than everyone else. Then you and Don can jump on The Nelligan Personal Jet, fly over to Chicago and do the same. Sound like a plan Mike? Ohh and don't forget your little toy. Remember what all the little boys and girls want under their tree come December 25th.

I forgot to mention he played in a half dozen Pro Bowls, putting him in the elite for those years at least. Heck Wendal, I haven't even commented on your spelling, typing or sentence structure because your comments are so out of whack, but hey you have a great day, recess will be soon.....

I can see where Donovan is coming from. I played four years of high school basketball with offers from three D2 schools to continue my career. In college, I played four years of rugby with my last two years being an MVP and offers to tryout for teams overseas. After college I decided to move home and race as much as I could afford. Racing a sprint car or any other form of racing is a lot easier than playing physically violent sports. So I can see where and why Donovan thinks that.
Also, when people say Nascar driver Jimmie Johnson is an athlete because he runs marathons. Yes JJ is an athlete because he runs marathons, not because he drives a race car. Another example, the lawyer down the street plays basketball with me at the gym on Wednesday nights, does that mean that Lawyers are atheletes?

I forgot to mention how you all of a sudden know all of Mr Mcnabb's incredible statistics as soon as someone insults the motorsports world(you involved). Yet you neglect to defend Darynn Pittman or Jason Meyers Championship statistics. As for the spelling and sentence structure.....swing away, I'm not apposed to constructive critisism. It's how one learns, remember the whole HUMBLE complex. Out of whack comments? I've read numerous posts from you regarding who wonderful and glamerous your live has been. I beleive as you put it "lived someone else's dream" correct me if I'm wrong? So I just rightfully assumed you had your own personal limousine and Jet and heck maybe your own Penthouse in Vegas for that matter. Remember these assumtions were rightfully made only based off of your previous posts. As for the recess comment, assuming that I'm in grade school doesn't help with the whole HUMBLE complex, so you have some work yet to do there. Here's a tip. If you that badly want to know if I'm in school or college or how old I am just ask as any normal human being would. Take it easy

"There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and moutaineering; all the rest are merely games."
-Ernest Hemingway.

That quote is often misattributed to Hemingway, but it was said by Barnaby Conrad. Because auto racing is a sport, does it automatically make those who participate an athlete?
I don't necesarily disagree with McNabb on this one. It seems like the uproar is over who said the quote as opposed to what the quote said.
I would welcome a compelling argument that guys like Tony Stewart or Jimmy Spencer are athletes. For that matter, I'd argue against guys like Prince Fielder, Mo Vaughn and Pete Webber as being athletes. IMO, just because you partake in professional sports does not automatically mean that you're athletic, or an athlete.

An artist and bullfighter who was a lesser known contemporary of Hemingway. Believe it or not he was a pretty interesting dude who had a bunch of wide ranging accomplishments
