NOOOO!!!! I know this years show did not turn out they way anyone wanted, but it's a blast to get both wing and non-wing sprint car racing using the Trophy Cup format. What a shame.

Probably a change to qualifying if anything. Please don't change the invert!

Because of the amount of crashes, car count, attendence??? I thought it was a rad race and always enjoy the non wing show on thursday! Track was super hooked up that night. I feel sorry for those fences though... Hope to see the non wings come back one day!
That was the best weekend of racing these eyes have ever seen in 31 years! Never forget 2013 Trophy cup!

I agree but the carniage on Thursday was mind numbing. If it were up to me the entire event would be non-wing but this change shouldn't effect the quality of this event or anybody's decision to attend in 2014.

At the pit meeting on Thursday they were already upset and concerned about the poor car count. They wanted driver input on how to increase it. But after half the field got wrecked and 4 drivers got hurt, next year wasn't looking any better. I drive a non-wing car, but that was a solid business decision in my opinion.

I was a bit disappointed that more of the So Cal CRA regulars didnt make it out for the show Thursday night. There was no Spencer, Kruseman, Faas, Gardner or the Williams trio. Roa was there however. I dont know who was there from the VRA series. Not sure wwhich teams have 360's already, but if teams want to race it bad enough, they can always get one. I would have to guess that this being a Thrusday night race might have attributed some, but still, would be neat to see as many of these guys there as possible.

If many recall... much of the carnage was not due to track conditions... there were drivers driving a little over their heads....

That was my impression. I was pretty hammered that night but the track didn't seem that bad.

Would be cool to have Thursday night a 410 winged show. Most of those teams all race both during the season anyway. I really like the wingless show but if you can't get the numbers you need, you gotta do someting else. A fully inverted 410 field, cool.

Maybe Dave will add more cars(100+) and split Thurs and Fri night cars with eliminations on Sat. Same invert and point fund for good racing.

Well that's a real let down, but I can see where this is all going.
The field can now be split making the car count not be an issue. As long as they have 40 cars a night you see 2 shows ,then come back on saturday and run the finals.
It will take away from the coolness of the even, and so then it will be down to 25-30 cars a night, and it will have to change back to 2 day show..and .oh wait this is just a recording sorry ...
....give it 2-3 years and they will need to spice it back up.
Just run a 410 non wing and wing show together the first night to really kick it off!!!!!!
Fans will come, car counts could be 25-35 for each class great night before 85 360's run the rest of the weekend.
I'm in!!

The drivers from LA and surrounding areas should have supported this race and when they dont promote thier product at a big event they take it on the chin, and non wing just cant afford that but guess the two hour haul was just two much for the LA boys so another race they lose. Hope their happy!! Now they dont have to worry about that haul or the race, or the sport its dying. Great job CRA and VRA.

thats a real bummer.. i love non wing..them guys have no fear knowing that track is a no room for error track.. and believe me the luckiest and best driver of the evening will come out on top..sometimes it takes its toll on them but it is worth every penny for the great racing . they no what there in for ..so sorry to see that race go..cant imagine what they will put in its place.. hey i know how about some 410 non wing national sprints on that night make it 20 grand to win and watch the cars show up,, had a great car count a few years ago any ways thats my 2 cents.. that sure does leave a bad taste in my mouth see you all next year though,,peace out

This is the reason why the Trophy Cup must continue for as long as it can: http://abcnews.go.com/US/batkids-make-transforming-san-francisco-gotham/story?id=20899254 & http://www.businessinsider.com/batkid-saves-san-francisco-as-part-of-make-a-wish-2013-11
Keep up the great work Dave and your entire family and team, your efforts are amazing.
