With all the news that's come out recently about 2014, has anyone heard what is going on with the traditional Monday and Tuesday Oskaloosa dates of Southern Iowa Speedweek?

Is there something i didnt read ?

I purchased a Osky shirt at McCarls trailer this past Nats I had Terry sighn the shirt and upon his signature i asked him "so, is Osky going to remain a 360 show on monday next year?"  his responce was  "I dont know, what do you think?, should it?"  so, im pretty sure he was looking for some positive/negative input to further solidify the event. not a cocky remark just looking for feedback,  Quite honestly,  I was in transit to the area while that show was going on, thus i missed it,  alltho i do want to go next year,  regardless if it is 360 or 410 show, my understanding was the car count was up with the 360 show, the year prior I was in attendance and couldnt help but notice the 410 race looked to be something qute entertaining at one time, but , seemed to be showing signs of loosing its luster, anyway, good question, hope the Answer is soon!

Yeah thats pretty rude on their part. They should be thankful people want to know rather than bitching about it.  If your "sick of it" update your website and that will help.

Same divisions as last year?

I thought it was a great 360 last year and would like to see them run non wings 2 nights again. I don't blame them for being sick of getting asked if it's going to happen. They do a great job promoting and would like them to see them promote more. Would be great if they got to together with Burlington and ran 410's and 305's on Fridays.

This is a press release from somebody representing a company that wants people to spend money on them? Nice. Hope to see some details soon on classes and dates.

I don't believe Todd Hoffman wrote the release, I think he simply copied and pasted that sentence from the @oskychallenges twitter account into this forum thread because it answers the question of is there going to be a FRC next year.

The hilarious part of this is that every other year in the program for the event, there is an advertisement for next year with the dates. There was some noise about the fairboard kicking TMAC out after this year, so that coupled with the lack of advertisement for next year's race got people wondering.

A simple update of the website or press release would have been better than a snarky tweet that hardly anyone sees.

The dates for next year are August 4th-5th.

For some reason every year the rumors are that we are not having the events the next year, I don't know why.

We have promoted the FRC for 18 years and have a great relationship with the Southern Iowa Fair and a CONTRACT.

Sorry, we  do not look at the message boards every day to answer the ignorant posts by some people (or the intelligent questions). It's pretty simple, if you have a question concerning our events e-mail us. Or call our office and leave a message. We will respond as soon as possible. Or if you happen to be at an event that one of our son's or Terry is racing ask us. I doubt you find anyone more honest with his answers and openness to fans as Terry. Remember, this isn't Knoxvile Raceway with a full time office staff, usually just me doing my best.

FYI, we are very wore out by the time the Nationals are over with all the racing before the Nationals and all the hard work we put into promoting OSKY. We also try to run 3 racing teams besides promoting our events. So after the Nationals we basically "tune out" for a few days to recover.

dsc1600, Mike Roberts handles creation and sales of our programs. The reason the dates were left out were because we didn't have the room. The "Noise" you referred to was a post on HH that we did not see but heard about. If you read it on a message board it must be true!

We plan on having the ASCS National Series back next year as they were a great group to work with and we had an excellant field of cars.

Tickets for next years events will go on sale in February as usual.

Thanks to everyone that comes and enjoys our events and we hope you come back again in '14. We work very hard and try to do many things to raise the bar on promoting and make everyone from the children to the owners happy when they leave our event. Not everyone is going to be happy as a lot of you on here seem to want to point out any negative aspect of every event you go to instead of pointing out all of the positive things that you experienced. Here's a crazy idea...let's build up our sport instead of constantly trying to tear it down. We promote these races because we love the sport of sprintcar racing and we want it to prosper.

Get em Lori!! Anyone would be hard pressed to find better promoters & especially better people than Terry & Lori...PERIOD!! The sentence " Here's a crazy idea...letsbuild up our sport instead of constantly trying to tear it down." are words for many here to read & heed. Lori, might just have to buy you & Terry another 6 pack for that bit of advice.

Yup. I was simply sharing information that I believed to be from a reliabe source on the subject.
