Hi Everyone,

My name is Jordan and I am from Central Pennsylvania.  I am currently working on a personal project and need some assistance that I hope someone reading this post can help me with.

I am looking for Hi-Resolution vintage (vintage for me is 80's-90's, lol) action photos.  For starters, here are some examples of what I am looking for:  Paul Lotier, Bobby Davis Jr., Keith Kauffman (880 or 1W), Joey Kuhn, Steve Stambaugh, Jesse Wentz, Bobby Fletcher...etc.  The list can go on and on...

I want to get into doing racing t-shirts and need practice with the artwork.  My focus is that I think it would be pretty cool to take drivers from the rather recent past that not many people really think about and create tshirt artwork that would really turn heads at the race track, simply to gain some recognition with the hope of being able to continue.

This is simply meant for practice, not profit.  I just think that it would be cool to see a "brand new" Bobby Davis Jr. shirt walking around at Williams Grove, maybe spark some memories of a storied past in the sport that is not thought of everyday.

All images must be Hi-Res to be able to do the artwork.  Any assistance or a point in the right direction would be an enormous help.  Thanks in advance everyone.

Cheers,

Jordan

As a avid sprint car fan from Pa it would be amazing to have the retro tees! How bout a Wolfgang tee in the Weikert 29! I'll see what I can dig up! Be at world finals so may be next week. And a old school Hewitt would kick ass!!

Not to be the one that throws water on this deal but,,,  You might want to check with the former drivers or car owners before reproducing their vehicles or names as I seem to remember that there has been one or two teams that parted ways over who had the royalties to the t-shirt profits......
Not that I wouldn't love to have a new Hewit 63 t or a Wolfie hanging in my closet but I think that these guys might like a little bit of the pie for what they have done...

To be clear, as originally stated, this project would be completely for practice and not at all for profit.  I would not, under any circumstances, be selling these shirts.  I simply would want to turn some heads in the grandstands and show people what I can do as a designer and illustrator...

Although I wouldn't be opposed to giving shirts to friends, or anyone who lends a helping hand in aquiring images!

Thanks, All!  Smile
