I thought these tidbits from last night's Armadillo nationals finale were notable:
-Shane Hebert broke in his Modified division car in the twin-B's, then came back to win in the Limited Modified feature, collecting $3,000.
-Denny Gieber broke in his Limited Modified in the A-feature, then came out in the A-feature in the Modified division and took home $10,000 for the win.
-Shane Hebert of Express Race Cars put up a $250 Hard Charger award for the Limited Modifieds (which was won by B1 Scotty Nichols, Scotty started 18th and finished 7th)...then Shane turned around and won the IRP Race Cars "Overall High Point winner for the 2013 Armadillo Nationals" in his Limited Modified, which was worth $500. Hebert ended up with 271.0 points and beat out the #50 Factory Stock of Billy Meazell by just 1/2 point!
-Mr Plumbr Hard Charger Award in Modifieds was a tie! 7P Greg Penny and 11* Adam Penn will split the $250.00. Greg started 18th finished 5th and Adam started 23rd and finished 10th.
