Chad Blonde won his second feature in a row saturday night at Saint Francois County Raceway. Tommy Worley was second Bryan Matthews was third Robbie Standridge finished fourth from way deep in the field and Joey Montgomery rounded out the top five.
Blonde got quick time again for the second time in two nights. Nobody had anything for Blonde he was the class of the field all night.

Chad is on a hot streak. He won two features the previous Friday at Butler.
Wonder if anyone can touch him on his home turf on "Wild Winged Wednesday?"

Was a good feature, but Robbie Standrige took out the 4 car, ran over him, thats not racing not only was i upset at Robbie, but the good ole track officials is guess are totally blind. Roobie should of been put on the back and the 4 car should of been put back up. The 4 car has been screwed so many times lately. I think they just can't stand being beat by a 360, and yes for anyone that don't know it, IT IS A 360, sure makes the 410's look bad.

What about the rest of the field getting screwed when THE 4 CAR AKA Tim Montgomery gets another lap during qualifying. His first lap must not have been that good.

Fast: Actually Tim's first lap that the clock did not pick up looked faster. I wish I would have remembered my stop watch. Someone sitting near me with one confirmed that the times announced were accurate.
Jon: You could put the four cylinder out of my Camry in a sprint car and Tim would be competitive at Farmington, but with a good 410 he could have been up front with Blonde and Tommy.
Later, 410Fred

Your right Sprintfantic, his 410 should be done real soon. But being plowed so hard in the rear end wouldn't matter what you was running. Time trials who knows. But they did have lots of trouble at Benton Friday night with the timing not picking up cars.

The Adam's 360 car that Tim is driving is a great short track 360 car. He can hold his own with the best in a 360 show. It is a strong car. I'd bet on him in a 360 show. But he'll struggle to win 410 shows with it. It can be done (he has done it)but not regularly. It looks like he has been running a mixture of his 410 stuff and Guy Web's stuff but it doesn't seem to hold together. Certainly not the dependable car that we've all grown to expect him to always drive in the past.
Robbie did punt Tim Saturday night. I was looking right at it. He bumped him right in the middle of the corner. Not hard but he did get him. I am a Tim Montgomery fan but that is not typical of Robbie to just run over people. I've seen Tim and Robbie run lap after lap side by side only inches apart and never touch. I wouldn't be so hard on Robbie and just chalk it to a racing deal. There was some pretty wild slide jobs and aggresive racing all night long. Everybody was running hard..

By the way. I would not make much of the time trial mishap. He wasn't the only car that the clock didn't pick up. I am not a big believer in all the conspiracy theories that get posted. Sometimes clocks just don't work. If he was getting a special deal he wouldn't have fell outside the top 6 invert.....................He was probably as put out as anyone. He doesn't like being in the spot light. Pretty low keyed guy.
It really didn't matter. Nobody had anything for Chad Blonde. He had a sep up that he could turn and drive under anybody anywhere on the track. He was hooked up.

I can tell you from first hand experience with Steve Libby and crew that they don't have the time to concoct a conspiracy plot against anybody. Even if the could, they wouldn't. Sometimes there are malfunctions in anything mechanical, whether it be timing devices or race cars.
Good luck to Chad at the upcoming Nationals.

John, i have to agree on this one. I talked to a couple guys who was using a stop watch and they said his first time was actually faster than his second time. Also i agree with some of the others Tim is a quit guy and a gentleman. Hats off for driving a 360 against the 410's. He did do great at Malden last Friday night. Gray started on the front row and Tim started 6th and took second.
