I'm not that surprised by this actually. Rob and Derek Sell had no 410 experience when they came to PA and although they had a few good runs here and there, for the most part it was a struggle. Well, I can assure you that team grew more in the last year than it had in the 3 previous. Now they know the equipment can run with anyone, probably learned more setups and tricks than they would in 5-10 years figuring it out on their own. Even as a driver looking in, I'm sure Derek has more confidence in the car because now he KNOWS it's a car capable of running with and beating the best, before there could always be room for that doubt, always room to say, I could be running better in the 39, 27, etc. It may not equate to better results, Derek may never be a winning driver, but I think now, both driver and team have a MUCH better idea of what it takes to get the job done.
