That was a great finish. You are correct. People will be talking about the who's and why's for a while.
Johnny Gibson was tweeting last night that the thought a yellow/red should have been thrown before the checker. After looking at the video, I would have to agree with him. Sweet was stopped on the track with the entire filed behind him.
Finally, aren't those two brother-in-laws to be? Could make for an interesting Thanksgiven dinner.

Talk about a total screwup!!! There is NO WAY that race should have been checkered flagged. Neither car was even close to the finish line. This was obviously a blatant move to get Kyle Larson's name on the past winner's list for years to come which in turn sells tickets. Not only did this alter the proper finish of the race but it also altered the overall champion of the weekends racing events. Now thrown in the total joke of a finish from the first night where the first guy across the finish line doesn't get the win it shows an obvious and blatant manipulating of both nights races. WOW, not good if you ask me and very disgusting. Hope they are happy that they got the winner all the fans wanted after all that. SMH

It was 6 seconds from the time Larson and Sweet got together until Larson crossed the line. If they'd thrown a yellow in that 6 seconds there would be just as many people bitching, if not more, that they were too quick on the flag. There's no pleasing some people.

Marginal call but who cares. Kyle is one of the greatest ever. There has NEVER been a part time guy that just drops in and beats the best outlaw guys on various tracks on a regular basis. As good as Hewitt, Vogler, Gordon etc were, they were seldom among the favorites at major 410 races like this guy. Stop the jealousy or whatever it is and enjoy the gift. Cookie cutter race cars are still a dilema but this guy helps make up for it.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Instead of watching the NASCAR plate pure stupidity today, everyone should just watch this 5 laps clip for 4 hours.

it is not that uncommon to see a situation where there is an incident coming out of turn four on the last lap and the race is allowed to finish out.
one of the biggest ones in the recent past was the daytona race with mark martin and kevin harvick racing for the win and the crash happening behind them.
i am confused about your comment about the night before. as far as i know TK beat gravel by .003 of a second for the win.
to indy and beyond!!

Unless you are blind, he did cross the finish line.
Probably should have been a caution for Sweet. Easy to second guess.

With the great finish on Saturday night, you almost forget about TK's finish on Friday. I was there I couldn't tell who won. Gravel was leading coming to the checkers then TK was leading after crossing the line. I heard a couple of guys debating about where the transponders we're mounted on the 2 cars. Was this in fact an issue ? Isn't the transponder's mounted on the same place on every car ?

I saw a Tim Aylwin racing photo of the finish and Gravel appears to be ahead by a bumper. For some reason I am unable to upload any new pics. Do you have to be a power user now ?

Are you using Chrome? I had to switch browsers altogether in order to use anything around this place. At first I blamed Windows 8, but now I'm thinking it was Chrome.

I'm sure there very happy with the money raised for Make A Wish and the race. As they should be. Instead of bitching about it come out see it for yourself. This is a racing format every sprint car fan should see regardless of who wins.

If it was close to curfew time I have seen races called for that reason.

The transponders are not on the front bumper! Therefore if you are going slower than the car beside you and your front bumper barely beats him your transponder will not. The transponder is in the same spot for everyone. Basically you race to the motor plate...so whoever's motor crosses first, is the winner.

Transponders are located just below where the front bumper mounts on the chassis. Not sure why you think the motor/plate has anything to do with it.

WAH wah wah quit your bitching. If your weren't there you don't know. It was absolutely fantastic. Thank you Tulare , thank you Trophy cup, and congrats Make A Wish. What a grand weekend and even though we had some hick ups. It was awesome. And I was pulling for Brad to win the main and it ended perfectly. They were flat out getting after it. 50 laps invert the whole field and go get it.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.
