from Wags' website:  The finish was too close to call by the naked eye as Tim Kaeding beat David Gravel by .003 seconds.  Foto by Steve LaFond.

I know it goes by the transponders , but I was sitting inline with what I thought was the start finish line and it looked like David won that race.  And as for Saturday that was HOTTTT.

The #83sa was David Gravel, from Watertown, Connecticut, driving for the Rodney Tiner.  Down the backstretch on the final lap he lost a valve spring and felt the engine starting to let go.  As he exited Turn 4, the motor sputtered and Tim closed in quickly.  At the flagstand, Gravel had him (as the photo) illustrates.  However, the beam that scores the race is actually  about where the end of the red section of the wall terminates...about ten feet past the flag man.  Also, TK had his transponder mounted more forward than Gravel had his mounted.  The result was a crazy finish, scored at 0.003 second advantage Kaeding, driving the #83 for Dennis & Teresa Roth.  I don't care what anyone else says...it was a friggin' tie!!!
