According to a RUMOR on ibracn.com, Greg Hodnett will be named the new driver of the Lelands #27 for 2014. The announcement will come in the near future.

thats brad brown being a professional and waiting for an offical press release, and rightfully so, but it is 100% done deal. and the next in line is lance to the 20s. that will come out soon. so that leaves stevie smith and brian leppo for the zemco ride. we will see....

Ummm, I don't know him, but I'm pretty sure he just called you a professional for calling it a rumor and waiting for the press release in the meantime before confirming it as truth, even though it is. Jesus, people on this board even get pissed off at compliments...

lol i think u took the wrong way. im just sayin that lee and greg will be on the 27 ride next year. im fairly close to that situation so im confident that i can say that on here. as far as the 20s, thats just thru the grapevine but it seems logical if mr sell puts one on the track next year. in pa its not tough to guess right as far as rides. the best driver will get the best stuff available. but u all know this sport, something can fall thru while the guys signing on the dotted line.

I think stevie will get the zemco ride over brian. There just are not enough owner any more for the good guys like brian to have a ride it seem.

Leppo has 8 or 9 CAREER wins. Stevie has over 60 WoO wins. I know, it's a tough choice.

Any chance Lance gets the Zemco ride? He said he wants to run a more limited schedule next season, which the Zemco team already does.

i say shafted cuz leppo has been fast. i would like to see wut he can do in a full season with that ride. somebody is going to get left out if the 20s aint on the track next year. we still pretty strong in pa but rides keep dwindling away. not good..

If I remember, Stevie was the driver of the 1z and left for 'greener' pastures. I would absolutely pick Stevie too, but if were going to make a big deal about it, Leppo has 20 career 410 wins.

If we're purely going on what type of schedule guys want to run and what tracks guys want to run at, then i guess this makes sense: Hodnett in the 27, Leppo to the 20s and DeWease to the 1. Stevie would be the odd man out of the central PA circuit, but I could see him looking for an Outlaw ride.

Does Stevie want to go back to the 1z? I thought he quit that ride. Of course Stevie is much more accomplished than Leppo but Leppo can wheel with the best of them in central PA.

jesus christ guys. leppo has had that thing up front almost every week hes ran it. yes stevie smith is a all timer. i get it. nobody is disputing who has had the better career.
