Wonder why so many CRA/VRA guys are not running the trophy cup?

It has a pretty good purse, if someone sweeped the mains and overall, I think it pays close to $6k, with an overall purse of $32,000

Cory has plenty of 360 cars, Priestly has a 360.  Although the Trophy CUp has a great list of 40 non-wing drivers with names like Clausen, kaeding (s), Mitchell, Faria, Vanderweers, etc, it sure would of been cool seeing guys like Spencer and Kruseman (who on occasion race 360's), Troy Rutherford, Greg Taylor, Damion and Fass, etc.

Why wouldn't a team/racer not run this race, because it is a Thursday Night, Track is hard on equipment, guys saving equipment/$ for National USAC races in AZ and PAS?  If I was sprint car racer/owner, this is one of the events I would want to race  Maybe someone can convince Cory, Nigh, Harlan and Priestly to drag out 2 or 3 cars so Spencer, Kruseman, ? can sling some dirt Thursday Night.  How many times do guys get to run a total invert main event.  The ones I have seen, more times than not, the last row in the inversion wins the race ie Bernal last year at the trophy cup and the vanderweers at the billet cup at Santa Maria.

With this format of total inversion, it seems talents outshines equipment ($) than an average race.  Plus with the points, you have to be both fast, consistent, and not make any big mistakes.

It's a weeknight. Too many high dollar and point races coming up.

Quite possibly the drivers and crew have full time jobs.  Many bosses frown upon workers not showing up for work.

i thought it was understood that to run for the "big money" at T-cup you had to enter and race last year to race for the extra money this year?

It's hard for many teams to make the show on a Thursday night when we have jobs. After running the Trophy cup last year, I can honestly say it's a great race to watch...not so much to race in. Nonwing teams are treated very poorly (i.e. being asked to move pit spots to make room for a winged hauler when they don't race until Friday). We chose to stay home this year and not deal with the hassle.
