Digging through the couch cushions to gather some coin for the shin-dig in Iowa in a couple of weeks, so I will be a no show for this IRA haul across the Missi-sip.
Those of you who go-Enjoy! Let the teams and the Officials know how much you appreciate them and would like to see them back if you liked what you saw.
Get into the pit and track down Davis and Biertzer and congratulate them on their 1st wins last week, those guys have been at this for a little while and have suffered a ton of bad luck and what not when they have been in contention for wins and you will see some happy guys when you shake their hands.
Also, car owner Bob Walldan (Black No. 11) is celebrating 50 years in Motorsports this year and Kim Mock is in his 30th, so give them a note of appreciation as well.
We may not be lighting up the radar for Sprint Car Racing and at times, people outside of our "area" have no clue who we even are, but come out, show support and have a great time.
Pick to win: John Sernett.
Best of luck to all the MN based teams as they defend home turf again versus the Wisconsin-Illinois based contenders. This the last chance to keep one of the Trophy's in the land of the Gophers.
VIKINGS!

Call it what you want but I have to say that R19 blew away the Wisconsin-Illinois boys! An "IMCA" 360 held its ground and made the "big 410" show. I know its there home track so to say but wow! nice job guys!
Congrat's to Jason and the 66 group for pulling off another nice win in IMCA class!

thats right...an imca 360 had the slowest qualifying time of the night starting him in the dead last position of he second heat (10th) and he made his way to 7th but that wasnt enough to qualify for the "A main" so he started once again in the back of the "B main"(18th) and got all the way into the ninth spot....... So finally he tagged onto the 24th position of the A main making his way all the way up to the 14th spot....Congradulations Jesse Smith!!!! he also started 8th in the IMCA feature making his way to the number one spot but having to settle for second due to his front wing falling off..

I'll bet that whet his appetite to get a 410 and run with the IRA. It's tough enough to make an IRA Feature with a 360 on a short track let alone a half mile. That's pretty impressive.

Its not always about horsepower, but everyone always want more- Great run by the 360 car- in time trials- there was only about 2.5 seconds difference from quick time to slowest- 14 plus to the 16's. Congrats to Scott Winters for fast time & the feature win- He was on a rail- passing 4-5 cars in turn 3 & 4 several times during the race- Jesse in the IMCA car had about 3-4 cars behind him on the white flag lap but several got around him at the last set of corners- GREAT SHOW By everyone- COME AGAIN! See you at the RACES-Pat.
