Last night was the opening night and it was a FANtastic night of racing, with 40 Factory Stocks, 41 Limited Modifieds and 41 Modifieds. They all ran 4 10-car, 8-lap heats, two B's and an A. Tonight's format is the same. Pits and registration open by 4pm tonight, with grandstands at 5, draw cutoff at 6:30 and racing at 7.
Saturday's $10,000 to win championship finale's have the same gate/start times.
THE FORECAST FOR KILGORE ON SATURDAY IS 88 DEGREES, SUNNY with a 10% CHANCE OF PRECIP! At MIDNIGHT Saturday night, rain chances go to 30% - and we will be finished long before that!
So don't miss out on the action - last night's racing was awesome! (We even had a 'northerner' from Kansas City that came down to watch the race and tracked down Sam Hafertepe after the race and told him it was one of the best run shows he had ever witnessed.)
There were 9 registered modifieds that chose to not race until tonight, along with 2 limited modifieds. It sounds like there are several more cars in each division that planned to only race Friday/Saturday, so it will be interesting to see what the final car counts are in each divisions. A few are even saying they're not coming until Saturday to try to advance from the back of a B-feature.
