AMP Series release
Jason King
July 25, 2007

The Day Motor Sports AMP Series presented by American Racer will once again swing to the south of Arkansas down into the heart of the Delta to tackle the gumbo banks of Greenville Speedway located in Greenville Mississippi August 4, 2007. It will be the first trip back to the storied track since the AMP verses MSCCS challenge race in Early May.

The AMP will field a strong contingent of teams who plan to head into Greenville and bring the feature win pay check for $1500 back home. Regular hot shoe's on the AMP series this season put up some of the best racing in Arkansas as they make rounds through the state.

Some of Arkansas’ best drivers are expected to be in attendance at the half-mile speedplant, including Larry Potter, Joseph Long, Charlie Cole, AMP points leader Kyle Beard, most recent winner Jon ‘the Catman’ Mitchell out of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Dewaine Hottinger, Jon Kirby of Russellville, Arkansas, Clay Fisher, Conway, Arkansas, Andy Hockenhull, Stuttgart, Arkansas, Mike McNay, Malvren, Arkansas, Kenny Basco, Willis Point, Texas Phillip and Baron Herndon and North Little Rock driver Terry Henson in the familiar yellow and red U2 machine and many others.
The stars of the AMP series look forward to facing the stout field of local drivers in the Greenville area, as they begin to wind down what has been a tremendously successful first season with the new series. Only three more events currently remain on the schedule after the Greenville event, leaving drivers with limited chances to make up points in the season standings.
The action will begin at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2007
