RED RIVER SPEEDWAY *FREE* OPEN PRACTICE/KICK-OFF, SEPT. 29
Wichita Falls, TX (9/20/13) by DarinShort.com. After spending the entire year transforming a former asphalt track to a beautiful ¼ mile dirt track, Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls Texas is eager to show off the property to racers of all types.
Sunday, September 29th from 2pm-6pm, racers in all dirt oval racing divisions are encouraged to bring their cars to a FREE Open Practice and Kick-Off Meeting.
The afternoon will start off with the kick-off meeting and a ‘meet and greet’ session, followed up with open practice for the balance of the day.
Whether you are a modified, sprint car, stock car, late model driver – or anything in between, feel free to bring out your car and test the new surface and facility.
If you are a race fan and are curious to check out the facility, please feel free to come to the Open Practice as well!
The Red River Speedway is set to open up for racing in 2014. The original plan was to host events in 2013, but track management wanted to make sure everything was in order and all construction projects completed beforehand.
Early next week a group of new pictures of the facility will be posted at the track website. By clicking www.RRSpeedway.com you will then be able to see the ‘before and after’ pictures of the speed plant.
The track management team of Teresa Perkins, Craig Martin and Richard Snider would like to thank all of the area racers, businesses and for their support and encouragement during this process. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Richard Snider at (817) 229-0287. The speedway is located at 3 1/2 miles west of Wichita Falls on Highway 287. Exit FM 369 and go north one mile. The track is on the right side of the road.
