PORT-A-COOL® U.S. NATIONAL DIRT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP NOW A DOUBLEHEADER on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21!
FORT WORTH, Texas (Sept. 20, 2013) – Friday’s heats and qualifying rounds of the Port-a-Cool® U.S. National Dirt Track Championship at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Trackwere postponed until Saturday morning due to inclement weather.
Saturday will serve as a racing doubleheader with Friday’s scheduled activities beginning at 9 a.m. CT and running throughout the entire day. Barring any additional delays, the Saturday evening schedule is expected to begin with opening ceremonies at 6:15 p.m.
Therefore, any teams wishing to enter the race, can still do so upon their arrival to the speedway on Saturday morning. The grandstand gates will open at 9 a.m. and practice for the Limited Modifieds and Modifieds will take place promptly after.
Opening ceremonies will begin at 9:45 a.m. with Limited Modifieds and Modifieds heats and qualifying rounds ensuing thereafter.
Following heats and qualifying throughout the morning and afternoon, the grandstands will be cleared and racing will continue with the regularly scheduled activity for Saturday night.
The evening races include the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series heats and culminate with championship races for all three divisions.
Fans that purchased tickets for Friday night’s event can utilize that ticket for admission to Saturday morning’s activities.
General admission for the heats and qualifying action Saturday morning will be $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. General admission for the evening championship action is $25 for adults and $10 for children.
