Another New Zealand related topic. We get Jon Allard down here racing every year and he absolutely destroys us most of the time. How is he rated on a national scale in the States?

Jonathan has to be considered one of the top drivers here in California. He is a track champion, series champion and has many wins to his credit. He is also a several time winner of the prestigious DIRT CUP at Skagit. He makes a perfect fit with the Williams Motorsports team. A truly nice guy too which is a plus for any team.

I agree Leon, he is one of the nice guys. I think he primarily stays on the left coast because of the vast expence of being a full time traveler. I don't think it has anything to do with him not having the talent. Just sayin.

Savage,
I hate to tell you but Mr. Allard is about number 208 on the U.S. lits of drivers. Good thing the better U.S. drivers don't go down under for the winter, your local drivers wouln't win anything.

Allard is a great guy... super friendly. I talked with him last year at Calistoga about the 'Sammy" incident a week prior up in the northwest I believe. How they colided and to me it looked like it was just genuine racing but "Cry Baby" didn't think so and gunned a rock at and hit Allard in the head. Of course the WoO did nothing about it! Typical... Anytime the Outlaws are in California you will always see the 0 car in the top 3.

Allard is a good guy out west. I think he has a very strong crew and a very dedcated owner. They go about thier repairs in a business like manner. The car is based in Oakhurst Ca ( 30-35 miles from south ent to Yosemite) , I think Morrie Williams has a recycling bus ( maybe he just pics up the trash) I see some pics at a little Resturant I stop at. I just know when the "0" rolles outta the mountains it's ready.
