I seen that Scotty has quit the ride, I personally would live to see Skylar Prochaska put in it, and see what he could do!

It's a really nice car with some very potent engines, unfortunately there is more to a team than just the equipment. Not sure why Scott left but the situation seems almost impossible to deal with. I think this is why you almost never here of a car owner building a team around the crew chief, most of the time the owner hires a driver and then they decide on a crew chief that the driver can work with. Before Scott came the current crew chief ran through at least 5 drivers in less than 2 years(Scott makes 6), and none of them were fired due to perfomance as far as I know. It seems the crew chief clearly has some people problems, from the outside looking in it appears he is insecure in his decisions thus why he refuses to allow any input from anywhere. Racing is a team sport just like basketball, football ect. And as we all know there is no I in team. I'd warn Skyler Prochaska fans and any other drivers' fans that are hoping their driver is put in the seat next to be careful what you wish for.

the recent drivers put in that car, have been "local" drivers, and the kid is a good racer, who i believe just needs a break

I admire anyone who puts their hard-earned money into sprint car racing, but there seems to be some serious issues with the chemistry of this team. Some fantastic drivers and amazing runs have walked right out the door...

Isn't Peters happily retired and farming now in South Dakota? You know the second driver they had (Henderson ) really clicked, seems it's been downhill from there.

It has become a laughable situation. Going forward I'm sure Greg is going to find it harder to get a good driver.
Solwold was bad ass fast in it and look what happened to him. Winters did really good in it also.

I disagree...with the large number of good drivers out there and fewer and fewer good cars, there will always be a driver wanting to get into that car...just need to find the right fit for both driver and crew chief.

Ibracn,
I see your point but what driver wants to move to the Sioux Falls area and then soon be told your done or you choose to part ways.
This pattern would be very troublesome to most car owners. Somehow Greg has the owners "Buffaloed" lol

between the ira, ascs, WoO, All-Stars, and the big money specials that Jackson, Husets, and Knoxville run there is just as much money if not more to be won in the midwest as say cali or pa. say a Jason Meyers would transplant here in the midwest for the summer and take over the #82 i'd be willing to bet he would take home more money then he did when he won the WoO championship. and you let a guy like him run weekly on knoxville and get that track figured out he'd have an amazing chance to take home the big money prize.

I'd guess he's making way more $$$ running his business than he ever did driving a racecar..........and he gets to sleep in his own bed every night and go to his kids activities and such.
If you could win EVERY race, yes, you could make $$$$ as a DRIVER, but the owners are still losing $$$ even if they win every race (it's too much travel as the racetracks in the midwest are not exactly all close to each other (see Dobmeier's commute every weekend (1277 miles total and 20 hours of windshield time and he LIVES in Grand Forks,so no commute to that racetrack on Friday's for him).
If Dob's WINS every race on teh weekend, he GROSSES around $6500, when you add up expenses (tires, fuel, fuel for hauler), odds are is that they are losing $$$$ without the driver getting a dime (Mark has stated that he doesn't get paid to drive, every $ goes back into the car including his share). Take 1/2 that $$$ and give it to a paid driver for winning and you are REALLY LOSING $$$$$.
The only people making $$$ on the Outlaw tour are the drivers that WIN, and the team owners that have SPONSORS that PAY THE BILLS (Tony and Kasey are probably it on that front).

There is no better place than Central Pa for a driver in the right situation to make a good living without having to travel over 2 hours to any track on a regular basis. Moving to a Mid West ride would certainly meen constant travel & fuel bills that would eat up any $$$ you might be lucky enough to make!!!

Two problems with that theory: 1. Jason Meyers is "retired" (I believe his definition keeps him within a 6 hour radius of his wife and kids the majority of the year). 2. I contend that Jason carries the same curse that Sammy Does when it come to winning the Nationals finale except that at least Sammy got one.

Scott said he decided to leave the 82 car because he couldn't commit to the "grueling" schedule they had planned.
