First it's the World of Outlaws, now there is a possibility we could see this in 2014!!!

Yeah......bring it! Be nice to see some non-wing cars for a change. I hope the rumors are true.

I hope those rumors are true as well. I became a Sprint Car Fan when Devils Bowl ran all weekly shows with Wingless Sprint Cars. Although the wings make them a little faster and quiet a bit safer the wingless cars put on a much better race "in my opinion. That would also almost guarantee that we would have Kyle Larson, Brady Bacon, and sveral more of the great up and coming drivers at Devils Bowl.

Oh... you are toying with my emotions, Hawker!!!!! STOP!!!! lol
Fantastic track for those guys. Great size... the surface typically fades a bit low & middle (some black grooves) in the feature & has a top groove. Multiple lanes/grooves. Great formula for passing.
Some of my favorite races I've ever attended were USAC/CRA shootouts at the Bowl.
If they'll put together a tour... maybe even some higher than minimum purse money... mini-pts fund... maybe more IN guys will show up. I'll go watch 7-8 USAC guys & a bunch of locals... AGAIN... but would enjoy seeing 15+ cars from IN/IL.
I'll be there.

I agree with you that the non wing cars put on a better show. I can't wait to see this if it happens. I doubt you'll see Larson though. I'd love to see him at the Bowl, but once he's the regular driver of the Cup #42 I don't think we'll see much of him in sprints.

Is Lanny still actively involved with the track. It seems like some new ideas are being considered.

It's my understanding that the World of Outlaws is leasing the track and that's why they are coming to Devils Bowl. If just left up to Lanny himself, this probably would not happen. With the USAC deal I don't have a clue, but I sure hope it happens. The whats and the why fors mean little to me.

I find it hard to believe that Lanny would lease the track for a sure standing room only event.

Again, I'd have to see it to believe it.

You're certainly free to believe what you'd like Hawker, but I heard this from a highly reliable source connected to the track. Think about it this way, if Lanny knew he'd have two straight nights of a SRO crowd with high ticket prices why wouldn't he have booked them again years ago?
