You-Know-Who wasn't even there, and there was STILL an altercation in the pits...

I honestly can't beleive that there are owners who will put TJ in a race car. I have seen him (followed very closesly by Mommie & wifie) display the most unprofessional, disrespectful, careless, inappropriate behavior in the pits and in parking lots. Now, I do not like Layton, can't stand him, never liked him or his family & never will; HOWEVER! just about every rule book for every race track states that you DO NOT GO INTO SOMEONE ELSE'S PIT STALL and cause a problem, fight, what ever. Did something happen to warrant a discussion (I was not watching either one of them during the 50) probably! Was it Layton's fault - Probably! BUT TJ had no business going into Layton's pit stall & NEITHER did Mommie or Wifie.
I hope TJ is suspended from Port Royal for all of next year. Would just as soon not have to witness his or his families behavior. Layton - yep, him too, but rules are rules and it appears that this time TJ broke them.
Maybe Mommie & Wifie should have waited for Layton at his shop & taken care of the big bad man for TJ then.

Really dont think theres any pentalizing that can be done on the track?? Cant tell a team they cant race there next year whenever car counts are already dwindling for the seasons to come. Not a fan of Layton, I personally would rather see him not on the track but cant punish either team for whoevers fault it is since the season is over there. Didnt watch these two because the front of the pack was far too exciting, so i dont really know what could have been the problem since they both finished the race.

What in the world is up with folks opinion of Layton or Stutts? Sometimes folks should be thankful for what they have to see and less worried with personalities.

What's up with opinions? Have you tried to find sponsor dollars lately????? Perception and public opinion drive alot of sponsor money these days. OK so Middlesworth (who could not be bothered to participate in Kauffman's farewell) think Layton is made of gold. In reality, there is a large number of owners & drivers who do not like Layton because of the crap he pulls on the track. They have had to spend lots of money fixing a "laytonized" move. When you are an owner and you watch someone disrespect his car owners by blowing up over 10 motors in one season, you have to scratch your head. Just drove them til the melted. Owners do pay attention to what is happening/not happening with other teams. His "performance" at the Grove banquet several years ago still stands out as a much discussed horrible way to talk about people. As far as TJ, how do you explain the childish bit$%ing, screaming, throwing of parts & tools, then Mommy doing the same and then wifie doing the same to people you are asking to support such an idiot & his family, all the while those in the pits are seeing your company's name plasterd on the car this jerk is driving.

Couldn't have said it better! i really didn't expect stutts to be that way. Layton has had many actions on the track the led to most fans not liking him. A couple I can remember would be when he called Danny deitrich "brain dead Danny" in victory lane, and then just last year when he put an Aussie into the wall and flipping him and then in victory lane told everyone "that's how we race central pa, don't like it don't come back." do those actions bonus going through 10+ motors a year would be enough to lose the ride, but I'm not Dave middlesworth. If I were I know the kid from port royal would be getting that ride.

Dave must be a pretty patient guy. Look and the money he has spent versus visits to victory lane. Wow.

Middleswarth couldn't be bothered to participate in Kauffman's farewell? Not sure where you got your information, but there are a few other reasons why the chip car was not mentioned as part of the whole tribute night.
Chad brought it up when he won the following week how that his car owner was not given acknowledgement during the event, so I don't think it has to do with Middleswarth not wanting to do it, I think it has to do with somebody not wanting him to be part of it, due to bitterness from 2009.
Also when it comes to blowing up motors week after week, if you were the owner, don't you think you would want to investigate a bit farther as to why they are blowing up. Yes I driver can "save" an engine from complete destruction and minimize damage, but it seems to me that if its constantly happening it might be more mechanical than just driver.
I do agree though that some people do need to represent themselves in a more professional manner when involving sponsors, owners, and most importantly kids who might see these actions.

You guys are too funny. Chad and TJ are both very good drivers and neither one has done anything that most other drivers haven't done. Neither one is the devil. Chad hasn't even laytonized anyone in long time and lets get real. If he was melting down 10 motors in a year, he wouldn't still be the car.

True dat, IMO it was KK and his fans who handled the split with little class.

Laytons motor problems were due to a problem finally diagnosed as tainted fuel that was purchased & stored at the shop.
