sprintfan1,
You are THE best proponant of the 305's in the mid-west. I hope it is the Iowa State Fairgrounds, but I'm thinking it is the "old" Nebraska State Fairgrounds. Only time will tell. Thanks ***l!

Your thinking would be wrong. The University of Nebraska bought the entire fairgrounds for a research park. I wish to hell you were right though. It'd bring back my precious memories of afternoon IMCA races there in my youth.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Eagle Pit Shack Guy, I remember the days at the state fair in Lincoln as well. Didn't know it was gone. I just hope we can continue to help the Racesaver 305 sprintcars series grow! Guys like sprintfan1 do a more than most know to help the 305 guys, along with all sprintcar racers.
The Eagle 305 show was GR8!

Mark, your first guess was the best guess, des moines fairgrounds, this will biggest thing to help bring new blood into sprintcar racing, at a price people can afford,i can only wish the promotors all the best for being smart enough to promote this divison.

Depending on the payoffs, I think IMCA Racesaver 305's on Friday nights at the state fairgrounds in central Iowa would be very successful, and could evolve into 20+ weekly car counts, just like we have at Eagle......Kustom Inc....Glad you enjoyed racing with us at Eagle during the SuperNationals... too bad RJ got caught up in someone else's mess on night one......does that mean we might see you more often in 2014...it's not that much farther than our guys towing over to Knoxville...we'd love to have you............looking like possibly 30+ cars next year...........SC

sprintfan1,
Is there going to be a meeting on rules etc? I hope it is going to be a "Racesaver" only engine package & not OPEN 305 like Knoxville.
Time will tell.

That would be great if it is Iowa as the last I heard they were going to raize all the track with the exception of the front straight... It would be used for stage showes and tracter pulls with the rest being used for parking during the fair..Their reasoning is that they aren't making any money on weekly racing.. So this will indeed be a great deal for entry level racing in central Iowa... Hope it's a fact !!!

Has this been officially announced yet? Hopefully come April of next year we'll have another sprint track to go to in central Iowa.
