With a little pre race time on my hands Rick Darling and I were talking about the temporary home of the C.A.R.B.  Hall of Fame displays at Lakeside Speedway up on the suite level. I told Rick I should shoot a sneak preview video of the displays so race fans could see what C.A.R.B. has done with the space that Lakeside Speedway has offered to them as a temporary home for the Hall of Fame.
He suggested I ask Bud Honeycutt to help explain who and what some of the pieces are and where they are from. Bud has been around Kansas City racing going back to the 1960 and before, plus he has written a book on the subject so who better to help guide us thru the memorabilia. Rick was kind enough to be the camera man for the video, thanks to both Bud and Rick for the help.
The museum is not open to the public just yet but will be as soon as they can have access thru the South door to the suite area, they are working on that now and hopefully accessability for race fans will be arranged soon. Anyone in the suites can simply walk down the hallway to the display area.
There is no charge but they are asking for donations with several large containers around the museum.
If you want to see where Kansas City's racing heritage started and the people and racers that got us to where we are today you have got to go see the C.A.R.B. Hall of Fame Museum at Lakeside Speedway. If your are a race fan of any age you will enjoy the time you spend reminiscing thru the artifacts. Enjoy.
